NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Luka Doncic, Jaylen Brown & More Picks for Sunday, Dec. 7
Sunday is every sports fan’s favorite day, and I’ve made my picks for the best NBA player prop bets in the Association.
Michael Porter Jr. continued his impressive campaign with 35 points and nine rebounds in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans, while Jalen Johnson dropped 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists in a dominant win over the Washington Wizards.
The Orlando Magic and the New York Knicks are the headliners for today’s action, while the Los Angeles Lakers will also be on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Sunday, Dec. 7.

Desmond Bane under 19.5 points (-115) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Bane erupted for back-to-back 37-point performances earlier this week, but he followed that up with 14 points on Wednesday, and five points on 2-16 (12.5 percent) shooting against the Miami Heat on Friday. Now, he has to turn around and face a Knicks team that is playing tremendous basketball.
Bane dropped 27 points in his only previous matchup with the Knicks this season, but NY is 12-1 at home and allowed the fourth-fewest points per game over their last 10. Paolo Banchero is also returning to the Magic’s lineup, and the team hadn’t properly figured out how to mix in Bane with Banchero and Franz Wagner when they were all healthy earlier this year.

Jaylen Brown under 29.5 points (-118) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Toronto Raptors are having a great season, led by their exceptional defense. They are seventh in defensive rating for the year and have played above that standard in recent weeks, pushing their climb up the Eastern Conference ladder.
With all of their length on the wings and Jakob Poeltl back on the floor, the Raptors are equipped to handle the physical nature of Brown. He beat this line in five of his last six games, but I think the Raps have enough in their locker to slow him down.

Aaron Wiggins over 15.5 points (-122) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Oklahoma City Thunder could be down a plethora of players, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, when they take on the struggling Utah Jazz later today. That gives a huge opportunity to role players such as Wiggins against a team ranked 29th in points allowed per game.
Wiggins has had numerous explosive evenings when starters were out or when his workload was increased, and this game has that written all over it. He scored 23 and 18 points in his only games with at least 30 minutes played this season, which gives me the confidence to take his over.

Ryan Kalkbrenner under 6.5 rebounds (-112) at FanDuel Sportsbook
I’m just not all that confident in a lanky, gangly, rookie center trying to battle with Nikola Jokic and company on the boards. The Charlotte Hornets are fourth in rebounds allowed per game, but Moussa Diabate could quickly become preferred to Kalkbrenner because of his more physical presence.
Kalkbrenner went under this line in six of his last seven games while playing fairly consistent minutes. He could see an uptick in action because of the nature of the matchup, but he could also get played off of the floor for the same reason.

Luka Doncic over 32.5 points (-104) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Welcome back, Luka Doncic! The Lakers’ megastar point guard missed the last couple of games with personal issues, but he’s expected to be back on the floor tonight. That means the Lakers can expect to get an extra 35.3 points per game, based on his season scoring average.
The Sixers are right in the middle of the league at 15th in points allowed per game, and Doncic is going to be fresh after a few days of rest. Austin Reaves and company are also exhausted after being undermanned and playing difficult opponents, and I can see Doncic taking over early and often.
