The Golden State Warriors have been one of the hottest teams this season, surpassing expectations and fighting at the top of the Western Conference. After a thrilling first game of the Emirates NBA Cup Group Phase, all eyes are on the Warriors to take control of Group C on Friday night against the Grizzlies.
Through 11 games this season, the Golden State Warriors have posted a 9-2-0 ATS Record, the best mark in the NBA. The Warriors own an 81.8% cover percentage, an 11.1% margin of victory, and a +9.6 ATS +/- on the season.
The Warriors have covered the spread in nine of their 11 games this season, including in recent back-to-back wins over the Thunder and Mavericks. Despite their injuries, Memphis is a solid team, winning seven games with a +8.2 points differential. However, in their current run of form, the Warriors project to overcome the shorthanded Grizzlies, who have covered the spread in four straight against inferior competition.

Stephen Curry got off to a slow start despite the Warriors’ early success through the regular season. He’s come alive as of late, putting up stellar back-to-back performances and making an early bid for the Emirates NBA Cup MVP.
In eight games played this season, Curry is averaging 23.9 points, 6.6 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.0 threes per game on 48.1% from the field and 43.2% from three-point range. In Curry’s last game, a win over the Mavericks in their first match of the NBA Cup Group Phase, he contributed 37 points, nine assists, six rebounds, and five made threes, along with the game-winning shot.
Curry has scored over 27.5 points twice this season, but he’s done so recently in back-to-back games. Both performances came against tough Western Conference competition, a signal of his return to form after a slow start this year.

Zach Edey has been one of the league’s most outstanding rookies through the early parts of the regular season. Edey will have a tough matchup When he takes on the Warriors on Matchday 2 of the Emirates NBA Cup Group Phase.
In 12 games this season, Edey is averaging 11.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks per game on 62.2% from the field and 57.1% from three-point range. He fouled out in his last game, a loss to the Lakers, where he put up 12 points, eight rebounds, and one block in 26 minutes.
Edey is leading the Rookie of the Year race, and with good reason, hitting over 7.5 rebounds in six of his 12 appearances so far. However, the uptempo pace of the Warriors matchup doesn’t project to suit Edey, who will likely see limited action on Friday night.

Buddy Hield has been one of the bright spots for the Golden State Warriors this season. Leading the Warriors in scoring through the early schedule, Hield’s three-point shooting has been central to the team’s early success through the regular season and the NBA Cup.
In 11 games played this season, Hield is averaging 17.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 2.5 threes per game on 49.6% from the field and 46.7% from three-point range. He’s slowed down from his hot start but still impressed in his last game with 14 points and two made threes in 20 minutes of play.
Hield has been one of the league’s most capable shooters this season, hitting over 2.5 threes in seven of his 11 games. He’s been less effective from three in recent games compared to his hot start to the season, but the lowly Jazz doesn’t project to present much opposition defensively when these teams face off.
