Thunder vs Pacers Prediction Game 4

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers Betting Pick

The Indiana Pacers are closing the gap with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the odds table, especially after their strong late-game performances. But the Thunder have been able to respond when knocked down through the postseason. The Thunder have their backs against the wall but have the benefit of their star men Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams, and Holmgren coming off a well-balanced performance. Their bench will be the focus against Indiana’s, but overall, the Thunder have shown the capacity to control games, and they’ll surely re-focus their late-game effort in Game 4.

Oklahoma City Thunder Preview

The Oklahoma City Thunder squandered their opportunity to take the series lead and must try to level it again. They no longer have home court advantage, and their lack of bench productivity is under the spotlight. Their star men continue to produce, but efficiency and depth will be key in Game 4.

The Thunder started Game 3 strong, winning the first quarter 32-24, but they were outscored 75 to 92 through the remaining three quarters. Their fourth-quarter collapse defined the night. They scored 18 points while shooting 35.3% from the field and failing to convert on four three-point attempts. Committing 17 turnovers to 16 assists, the Thunder must limit their errors to level the series.

Jalen Williams led the way for the Thunder in Game 3, scoring 26 points and putting up six rebounds and three assists on 50.0% shooting. Sophomore Chet Holmgren stepped up, posting a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double despite going 0-of-6 from three-point range. NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is coming off a performance to forget, posting 24 points, eight rebounds, and four assists on 9-of-20 shooting.

The Thunder are the top team in the league against the spread, with a 61-37-4 ATS Record. They have a 62.2% cover percentage, a +11.9 margin of victory, and a +3.0 ATS +/- this season. In game 3, the Thunder hit under the total (226.0) and failed to cover the spread.

  • Oklahoma City Thunder Injury Report: (G) Nikola Topic (Knee) remains out and will potentially make a return next season.

Indiana Pacers Preview

The Indiana Pacers made a commanding statement in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. They continually boast their depth, earning another comeback win behind the brilliant performance of third-year Bennedict Mathurin off the bench.

Offensively, the Pacers remain the more explosive team in this series. They overcame a nine-point deficit to win Game 3, scoring 116 points on 51.8% efficiency. Indiana was off the mark from three-point range, 9-of-27, but their 50 points in the paint helped compensate for their shooting struggles.

Bennedict Mathurin was the show's star in Game 3, scoring 27 points off the bench, including 10 points in the fourth quarter on 75.0% efficiency. Tyrese Haliburton put up a near-triple-double with 22 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds on the night. Meanwhile, East Finals MVP Pascal Siakam posted 21 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

The Pacers became one of the league's best teams against the spread, posting a 49-49-3 ATS Record, fifth in the NBA. They have a 50.0% cover percentage, a +2.4 margin of victory, and a +0.9 ATS +/- this season. In Game 3, the Pacers covered the spread (+5.5), hit under the total (226.0), and won outright (+186).

  • Indiana Pacers Injury Report: (C) Myles Turner (Illness) is a Game Time Decision after playing Game 3 while suffering illness. On Wednesday night, (F)  Jarace Walker (Ankle) was ruled out for his third straight game. (C) Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) is out for the season after an Achilles injury.
