The No. 22 Florida Gators (3-1) and Kentucky Wildcats (4-0) are slated to square off in the Bluegrass State this weekend, and BetMGM Sportsbooks is offering a $1,500 first bet-back bonus for all users that create an account using a BetMGM promo code.
BetMGM’s offer ensures that users will be able to start their betting careers with up to $1,500 in protection on their first bet. The easiest way to think of this is to treat it as insurance since BetMGM Sportsbooks will refund the value of your first bet up to $1,500 in the form of bonus bets if that bet misses.
The deal is available to customers who do not already have BetMGM accounts and who are 21 years or older in a state where BetMGM is legal. Since Kentucky recently legalized betting in the state, the best sportsbook operators are offering exclusive sign-up bonuses.
If you are interested in redeeming the offer, then all you need to do is follow these simple steps.
You can think of this offer as a do-over if anything goes wrong with the first bet. The first bet-back bonus will be awarded in the form of bonus bets, which are essentially credits that are only valid at BetMGM sportsbook.
Users who qualify for bonus bets will receive them in one fell swoop if their first bet is less than $50. Users that risk $50 or more will receive them in five equal amounts.
Bonus bets cannot be withdrawn or transferred but can be used to win cash prizes with winning bets. These bonus bets must be used within seven days, or else they will expire.

Florida lost its season-opener to Utah but has bounced back with three straight wins. Kentucky has gone a perfect 4-0, but this will be the first time that it has played a team with a record above .500.
Kentucky won the lone meeting between the two last year in the second week of the campaign 26-16. Will history repeat itself, or will the Gators continue their surge up the national ladder? Here’s how the odds are shaping up.
Team | Spread | Money Line | Total |
No. 22 Florida | +1 (-110) | +100 | Over 44 (-110) |
Kentucky | -1 (-110) | -120 | Under 44 (-110) |
Florida and Kentucky are both in the unfortunate position of sharing a division, the SEC East, with the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. A second loss for Florida would effectively take them completely out of the running to reach the conference championship, while even one loss could remove Kentucky from the running.
Both teams are built on the integrity of their defenses. Florida has allowed just 13.5 points per game, while Kentucky is not far off at 15.5 points allowed per contest.
The key to determining the final result could be the battle on the ground. The Wildcats have more than 11 fewer yards rushing than the Gators but are averaging close to 5.5 yards per rush, which is well ahead of their opponent. There is still the matter of them avoiding winning teams, however.
Florida quarterback Graham Mertz just finished completing 87% of his passes in a comfortable win against the Charlotte 49ers, while Kentucky hung 42 points on Vanderbilt but gave up 28 in the process. They have arguably the best playmaker in the matchup in WR Tayvion Robinson and need to keep him highly involved in their game plan.
Despite the early loss, Florida has a more well-balanced offense and a stout defense. They are the more likely of the two to win what is essentially a pick’em at BetMGM.
