Our first prop bet of the day takes us to Madison Square Garden for a matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers. Both of these teams have secured their spots, so this will probably not be the most exciting game. We will look at the Rangers’ Chris Kreider for this prop. Kreider’s numbers have taken a dip since last season. He finished last season with 77 points (52 goals, 25 assists) and has 54 points (36 goals, 18 assists) this year. Kreider’s numbers are still solid, but he has slowed down a bit. He will finish this game with two shots or less. Bet on the under.
Kreider has not been getting many scoring opportunities in his last couple of games. The winger only put up one shot in his previous game and has four shots totals in his last three games. Normally, I would not care too much about this, but these games were against the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, and St. Louis Blues. These teams struggle quite a bit on the defensive end. Kreider will face a strong defensive team in the Toronto Maple Leafs today. The Maple Leafs allow less than 30 shots a game, and Kreider has failed to shoot three or more times against them in two previous matchups this season. Bet on the under.

Our second prop bet of the day will take us to Sunrise, Florida, for a game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers. Both of these teams are fighting to improve or secure their seeding, so this game will be an intense battle. This prop will involve the Panthers’ Carter Verhaeghe. Verhaeghe is not the best player on this Panthers’ squad, but he is one of their better ones. He has had strong offensive production all season long and will continue to perform well. Verhaeghe will finish with a point today. Bet on the over.
Verhaeghe comes into this game with 41 goals and 31 assists. He has had one point each in his previous two games and is averaging almost one point a game at home. I realize those numbers are only a little bit convincing, so I will add this. Verharghe will be facing a Hurricanes team that has lost three of their previous four games. The Hurricanes are a great team but have not been playing great hockey. Verhaeghe will have many opportunities to get at least an assist against this Carolina squad. Bet on the over.

We will travel from the south to the north for this prop bet. This prop will come from the New Jersey Devils-Washington Capitals matchup. This will be a one-sided matchup, as the Devils are one of the best Eastern Conference teams, and the Capitals will miss the Playoffs. Jack Hughes is having quite a season. The center is only 21 years old but leads his team with 97 points. Hughes has taken the NHL by storm this year and will be a superstar for many years to come. The Florida native has a penchant for shooting the puck and will finish with at least four shots today. Bet on the over.
Hughes comes into this game averaging 4.30 shots per game. He has not been afraid to shoot all season long, which has resulted in a team-leading 43 goals. Hughes does not always shoot four times or more in a game but tends to shoot more against weaker defensive teams. This is not a surprising statement, but it is one I need to make. Hughes will be taking on a Washington Capitals team that struggles a bit more defensively and gives up nearly 3.2 goals per game. The Capitals do not have many great defensemen, so Hughes will have enough opportunities to shoot four times. Bet on the over.
