It is the final day of the NHL regular season, and there are only two games on slate. This prop will come from the Colorado Avalanche vs Nashville Predators game. This will be an exciting game since the Avalanche can finish in first place in the Central Division with a win. This prop will involve the Avalanche’s Mikko Rantanen. Rantanen put up 92 points in 75 games last season and has 103 points in 81 games this season. The 26-year-old will put up at least four shots in this game. Bet on the over.
Rantanen comes into this game averaging 3.75 shots per game. That is barely above the over and not the primary reason you should bet on it. The main reason is because this is a high-stakes game that will affect the Avalanche’s seeding. Colorado will be tied for the second-most points in the Western Conference if they win this game. Rantanen knows how important this game is and will step up. He will not hesitate to shoot the puck and finish with four-six shots. Bet on the over.

Our second prop of the day will come from the Buffalo Sabres vs Columbus Blue Jackets game. Unlike the other matchup, this game will not be so exciting. Neither of these teams will be making the Playoffs, so this is a meaningless game on both sides. This prop is a bit of a risky one. It will involve the Blue Jackets’ Kirill Marchenko. Marchenko has been a solid goal-scorer for Columbus this season but will finish this game without a point. Bet on the under.
Marchenko comes into this game with 21 goals and four assists. He missed some time with an injury earlier in the season and has only played in 57 games this year.
Marchenko is only 22 years old and will be a key piece to the Blue Jackets in the coming years, but he is going through a slump. He has not had a point in his previous five games and only has two points this month. The winger simply has not been scoring. I do not expect this slump to end on the final game of the year. Marchenko may be facing a Sabres team that gives up a few too many goals, but they will slow him down enough to hold him without a point. Bet on the under.

Our final prop bet of the day (and regular season) will take us back to Nashville. This prop will involve the Predators’ Tommy Novak. Novak only played in 27 games last season and finished with one goal and seven assists.
He followed that up with 17 goals and 25 assists in 50 games this year. This is quite an impressive turnaround and hopefully will lead to him having an even better season next year. The center will finish the season on a high note and have at least one point in this game. Bet on the over.
Novak plays a little bit better at home. He is averaging nearly one point per game in Nashville, which is an encouraging sign for the over. Another encouraging sign is his performance in his previous game.
Novak did not dominate this game, but he did finish with an assist and three shots. It is also worth noting that Novak has not scored a goal in his previous four games, so he is due for a goal in this matchup. To put it simply, the numbers point towards the over, so I recommend betting on it.
