Parx Casino in Pennsylvania is one of the country’s premier casino and racetrack resorts, and since 2019 the company has turned its attention to the burgeoning online casino market.
So far, the betParx online casino and sportsbook is up and running in:
Parx has its sights set on expanding to other states too, so we thought we’d better ask our experts to review everything the platform has to offer.
We’re going deep on every aspect of Parx: games, bonuses, payment methods, customer support, security, mobile, and much more.
We never recommend playing at a site that we haven’t personally experienced, and our experts found plenty of things to like at Parx. There are also some areas we think could be improved, which we cover too.
It’s all right here.

You can check out all the bonuses available in the Promotions tab of the main menu on Parx’s platform – and we’re happy to say there’s a lot going on. In addition to the casino bonuses, which we’re covering in detail below, there are lots of sportsbook promos that you can also claim. If you’re into both sports betting and online casino games, Parx makes a lot of sense.
Parx has a whole host of bonuses exclusively for new members. There’s a lot to cover, so let’s jump in.
First up, you’ll get a no deposit bonus worth $20 just for registering with the casino. You can choose between $20 in bonus cash for the casino or a $20 free bet in the sportsbook.
The bonus cash has 20x wagering requirements attached, with slots counting 100% towards clearing the turnover. Table games count at a lower rate.
The next part of the welcome package is subject to you depositing some of your own money. You’ll receive a 100% boost maxing out at $750, which is an impressive limit. Better still, the wagering requirements on this bonus cash are lower, at just 10x.
Finally, making a deposit will also trigger a bonus of 500 free spins, with 100 spins released each week for five weeks. Winnings from free spins have a turnover of 20x attached, just like the no deposit bonus.
There’s a lot going on with this offer, and we’re big fans of it. It’s nice to know that the benefits will keep coming for more than a month after you initially sign up, and from the casino’s point of view it’s a smart way to encourage players not to lose interest.
There is a space to type in a bonus code when you sign up with Parx, but you don’t need one to unlock the standard bonuses described above. Every player automatically qualifies for the same promo.
If you find a promo code for an alternative Parx offer, remember that using it will disqualify you from the regular bonus.
The majority of the long-term or on-running bonuses at Parx are for the sportsbook, rather than the casino. For example, you can claim profit boosts, odds boosts, parlay promos, and much more, with new offers appearing all the time.
It’s great for sports betting fans, but it would be nice to see a few more on-running casino promos, like regular free spins or a reload bonus.
Parx Casino has a loyalty program designed for the land-based casino near Philadelphia, known as xClub. You need to collect your membership card in person at the casino, and joining basically means you’re eligible to receive real-life gifts and benefits in the physical casino.
You can also connect your betParx casino and sports betting accounts with xClub, so that whenever you wager online it can translate to comps at the casino.
This isn’t exactly a traditional online VIP programme, and is much more aligned towards players who actually go and play in person at Parx Casino – meaning it will be great for some players but not so useful for others.
Parx’ collection of games is certainly on the smaller side, with 165 different titles in total on the menu. That said, it’s also nicely varied and has plenty of interesting types of games available.
The filter system is a great touch, which makes it easy to sort through the different options on the menu.
We didn’t give Parx our highest rating for games, but there’s still a lot to like. Here’s the full story.
In total, there are around 140 different slots on the menu. All the games at Parx are provided by the igaming software provider GAN, who have signed an exclusive deal with the casino to power the online casino. Parx also includes games from NetEnt and Evolution, who have a third-party integration agreement with GAN.
The slots contain a good mix of classics, like Wolf Run or Gonzo’s Quest, and less well-known titles, including brand new slots. During our Parx Casino review, there were ten slots with progressive jackpots attached. There’s also a tab that shows which slots and jackpot slots are attracting the most action at any given time.
All in all, if you like having sheer numbers at your disposal, this might not be the slots menu for you. But if you want a concentrated selection of high-quality games, this is it.
Parx’ table games follow the lead of the slots. There are around 20 games in total, including blackjack, roulette, video poker, and Casino War – with a couple of versions of each.
Some popular table games – like craps, keno, or sic bo – are missing for now.
There are no scratch-style games on the menu. This is something Parx could add if they decide to build out the gaming menu more.
Parx have a small selection of live dealer games, all powered by Evolution. The live provider is probably the best creator of live dealer software operating right now, and we always like to see that little Evolution icon when we open the live section at a casino.
The majority of the tables here are blackjack tables, with eight in total. There’s also one Infinite Blackjack table, which allows unlimited people to play at the same time – meaning no waiting around for free seats.
The dealers were great during our tests, smooth and professional but also fun and friendly.
There are two types of roulette at Parx: Slingshot Roulette and Instant Roulette. Both are automatic versions of the game, which feature a real table but no dealer or croupier. Instead, the balls are released automatically by the mechanism every few minutes.
The live dealer options at Parx are rounded out by one live baccarat table, and one Ultimate Texas Hold’em table.
Parx has an excellent sports betting platform, powered by Kambi and available to everyone who signs up to the casino. You can choose the Sports tab in the menu at the top of the screen, and you’ll be able to browse literally hundreds of thousands of bets on sports from around the world.
There’s a great live betting section, where you can place your money lines, props, and totals on games that are happening right then and there. The live graphics and updates from the events themselves are an excellent resource too.
Parx have great sports betting bonuses up for grabs too, which you can check out in the promotions section.
If you’re into both casino games and sports betting, this is a big plus, and it’s something we took into consideration for our gaming score.
The betParx mobile app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices, from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
The app gives you access to both the online casino and the sportsbook, right there on the same interface, just like the desktop site.
The app worked perfectly during our Parx mobile review. While it’s nice to have a large variety of games, we often feel the smaller gaming menus make more sense with mobile gaming. That was the case here.
Parx feels nice and contained, with a manageable array of games along with sports betting easily accessible on your phone 24/7.
The betParx PA app on Google Play is rated 3.8/5 after more than 10,000 downloads, which is a positive sign. There are separate apps available, depending on which state you’re playing in.
Parx Casino is just one of a huge number of online casino gaming options in both NJ, PA, and further afield. Check out the table below to see how Parx stacks up against some of its competitors.
|Casino||Parx Casino||Pala Casino||Party Casino|
|Bonus||$20 no deposit bonus + $750 deposit bonus
+ 500 free spins
|$25 no deposit bonus + boosts on your first three deposits||$1,000 deposit bonus + 25 free spins|
|States Licenced In||NJ, PA, OH, MI||New Jersey||New Jersey|
The range of payment methods supported at Parx is very good. There are lots of ways to get money both into and out of your account, with all the most popular methods associated with online gambling accepted. You can see the full list in the next section.
We’re giving Parx a pretty good score for withdrawal speed. Every time you request a withdrawal there is a mandatory processing period, which lasts up to 72 hours. It’s not ideal, but it’s also not as slow as some casinos – like Scores for example, which takes 5 business days before your withdrawal is processed.
After 72 hours, the time it takes to hit your account varies depending on the method.
Skrill, PayPal, and Play+ Card withdrawals are all released immediately after the processing period – meaning you can get access to your winnings within 3 days. This is a good timeframe.
ACH transfer can take an extra 1-4 days, while a paper check in the mail takes longer still.
Almost all the methods come with a $10 minimum deposit, with the exception of a wire transfer which has a $5,000 minimum. Most methods don’t have upper limits. Play+ Cards allow you to deposit $2,000 per day, while Paysafe Cash has a limit of $500.
Deposits are processed instantly, and there are no fees for any transaction from Parx.
The help section at Parx is excellent, very detailed, and well organized. You can cycle through the different articles and use the search bar to find keywords.
Chances are, you’ll find whatever information you’re looking for in there.
If you want to get in touch, there are lots of good options too. Scroll down the page to launch the Contact Us screen.
There’s a customer support phone line available in NJ only, at 1-866-472-7965.
All states have live chat support, which is available from 10 am to midnight. We’d prefer 24 hours, but overall we’re still giving Parx a great customer support score.
Yes. We’re very happy with Parx from a safety and security perspective. The company is an institution in Pennsylvania, having opened its doors back in 1974 for racing, and in 2006 for casino gaming.
The online games at Parx come from some of the top software companies in the world. The likes of NetEnt and Evolution regularly have their games externally tested for fairness and have produced many of the best-loved games in the history of the industry.
Parx don’t give details about their data encryption but do guarantee that their data and privacy procedures surpass industry requirements.
There’s also a Responsible Gaming part of the help section, including info on how to use Parx’ “reality check” service.
Parx has received individual licenses for every state it is available in. There four bodies are below:
The physical Parx Casino has its roots in racing, with the original property opening in 1974 as Keystone Racetrack. The track changed hands a number of times over the years, including being bought by Greenwoods Racing in 1990, and finally becoming Parx Racing and Casino in 2010.
Despite the name change, the casino is still owned by Greenwoods Gaming and Entertainment, led by Robert W Green.
The Casino side of the business has been in operation since 2006, and has grown into one of the top casino complexes in the state. You’ll find it at 2999 Street Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.
betParx, the online platform, launched in 2019 not long after legal online gambling arrived in Pennsylvania, with the site licensed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Ohio, Michigan and most recently, New Jersey were added not long after, with separate licenses acquired for each state.
The most obvious area for potential improvement is the size of the gaming menu. Parx is definitely smaller than the industry average, with well under 200 games in total on the books.
Plenty of people will find that more than enough, but there are casinos out there with over 1,000 games. If you love the maximalist experience and surfing through endless gaming options, there are potentially better options. To get more specific, there are no bingo, craps, keno, or sic bo games to name a few.
Parx also doesn’t have a traditional VIP rewards program, instead focusing its loyalty program on real-life benefits of the PA casino. This will be great for some players, but not much use to many too.
Parx is definitely smaller than average in terms of the number of games on the menu, but everything the site has feels high quality and fresh. The combination of a focused gaming catalog, including live games, and an excellent sportsbook is one that you can’t really argue with.
There are lots of interesting promotions on the go, both for the casino and the sportsbook – further making the case of Parx as the perfect site to combine both activities.
Banking is a dream, with lots of methods and above-average withdrawal times, and the customer support is great too.
All in all, Parx is on the smaller side for an online casino, but a very impressive one.
Parx is licensed and available for players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan.
Yes. There are separate apps for Apple and Android, and for each individual state.
No. The fastest withdrawal methods take 3 days in total, which is pretty good.
Yes. Parx has a no deposit bonus up for grabs for all new players, plus a 100% boost on your first deposit.
Yes. Parx has a small selection of live tables including blackjack, roulette, video poker, and baccarat.
