North Carolina online sports betting doesn’t launch until March 11, but all prospective bettors are allowed to pre-register at FanDuel Sportsbook to guarantee $300 in prizes.

This offer is available only for North Carolina residents or anyone who happens to be in the state prior to the March 11 deadline. That means that there are just a few days to redeem the bonus.

Don’t worry about having to jump through a ton of hoops to redeem the bonus—we broke down everything you need to know below.

FanDuel North Carolina Promo Details

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper signed online sports betting into law in June 2023 and set a deadline of roughly one year to get the market up and running. State officials beat that deadline and now have sportsbooks ready to go just in time for the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament and, one week later, March Madness.

With those special events on the horizon, FanDuel is giving $300 in bonus bets to all customers who pre-register and bet at least $5 once betting goes live at noon on Monday. Users in other states also have the opportunity to win $150 in bonus bets.

  • Visit FanDuel sportsbook online or via the mobile app

  • Click “Join Now” and enter your personal information when prompted

  • Place a bet of at least $5 once FanDuel betting goes live on March 11

  • Win a total of $300 in bonus bets

Bonus bets are credits that can be used to place bets in any available markets (aside from round robins) at FanDuel. While they can be used as stakes for bets, they cannot be withdrawn for cash or transferred to another sportsbook and will expire if unused after seven days.

All prospective customers must be 21 or older and may not already have a FanDuel account. They also must be inside the North Carolina border to redeem the full $300 bonus.

Non-North Carolinians can win their $150 in bonus bets if they place and win a bet of at least $5. This deal does not come with a minimum odds requirement, meaning that users can place their bets on odds as steep as they want.

FanDuel is available in all of the following states: AZ, CO, CT, IL, TN, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, VT, WV, and WY.

North Carolina Pre-Registration Bonus: Saturday College Basketball Bets and Games to Watch

FanDuel NC Promo Code: $300 Pre-Registration Bonus North Carolina Tar Heels

There are a variety of enticing matchups in the college basketball world on Saturday. One of the best pits No. 1 Houston against the March Madness champions of two years ago, No. 14 Kansas. Houston only has three losses all year, but one of them was in a 78-65 road defeat to the Jayhawks led by 20 points from center Hunter Dickinson.

No. 4 Tennessee will also be in action in an SEC showdown against No. 14 Kentucky. The Volunteers won a barnstormer of a matchup when these two played in Lexington on February 3, 103-92, thanks to 26 points from Zakai Zeigler and Josiah-Jordan James.

Over in the Big East, Villanova will have one final regular-season shot to make its way off the bubble and into March Madness as it prepares to take on No. 10 Creighton. The Wildcats took down the Bluejays on the road 68-66 on December 20 but lost two of their last four games, both against conference opponents.

One final premier matchup to tune into is the battle for the ACC regular-season title between No. 7 North Carolina and No. 9 Duke. The teams enter on a combined eight-game win streak (five for UNC, three for Duke) and are expected to be among the top seeds in March Madness. UNC won the earlier matchup between the two on the road 93-84 thanks to a 25-point double-double by Armando Bacot.
