Paul made his professional debut back in 2020 in Miami when he stopped opponent Ali Eson Gib inside a round. Both men were making their debuts that evening, and Paul faced another boxing debutant in his second bout, stopping Nate Robinson in the second round in Los Angeles.

The only man to defeat “The Problem Child” to date remains English fighter Tommy Fury. The cousin of former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Tommy, beat Paul on points over eight rounds in Saudi Arabia. Fury was the first recognised boxer Paul had faced, and the American performed much better than many critics expected.
