Harry Kane is the Bundesliga’s top scorer at present, and the best online sportsbooks expect him to remain at the top of the charts until the end of the season. Bayern Munich have a mountain to climb in the title race, having slipped eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen, but Kane has continued to score goals.
The England captain has a seven-goal lead at the top of the charts as we get closer to the business end of the campaign. That should be enough to see him through, even though his team is struggling right now.
Kane has understandably attracted plenty of headlines for his exploits this season, but Serhou Guirassy is arguably doing just as well. He may be seven goals behind the Bayern Munich talisman, but Stuttgart’s striker has made six fewer appearances in 2023/24.
Guirassy is enjoying a fantastic season for a club that is punching above its weight by challenging for a top-four finish. However, perhaps only an injury to Kane would open the door to the Guinea international.
Lois Openda struck 21 goals for Lens in Ligue 1 last term. That earned him a move to RB Leipzig, for whom he has put the ball in the back of the net 16 times in 22 games this season. Openda sits third in the goal charts as things stand, behind Kane and Guirassy.
To overtake Kane, though, he would probably need to reach 30 goals while hoping the Bayern Munich striker stumbles from here until the end of the campaign. Openda has been superb so far, but odds of +4000 show he is highly unlikely to finish as the German top flight’s leading scorer.
On loan at Stuttgart from Brighton & Hove Albion, Deniz Undav has shot up the scoring charts of late to become the joint-third contender in this particular betting market. Undav has notched five goals in his last four Bundesliga outings, taking his tally for the season to 14.
That is a respectable return, especially as Undav has only made 14 starts. But it would require a monumental effort for him to close the gap with Kane, who stands at 11 goals right now. Realistically, the best Undav can do is to finish second.
Victor Boniface is a huge outsider in the race to finish as the Bundesliga’s top scorer. He has scored 10 goals for Bayer Leverkusen, the team in pole position to win the title, after joining the club last summer.
But there is almost no chance of Boniface scoring more goals than anyone else over the course of 34 games. That is because the Nigerian international is out of action until at least April after undergoing surgery on an abductor injury.
