Freddie Freeman is one of the best hitters in baseball, and he is posting MVP numbers daily. The first baseman is batting .338, which is second in baseball with 13 homers and 44 RBI. He is also second in OPS at .998 and has been the catalyst for the Dodgers’ offense this season. In Freeman’s past five games, he has recorded eight hits with two homers and five RBI. The batter is locked in at the plate, and we’re going to take advantage of this on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles will host the Chicago White Sox, who are in the midst of a very disappointing season. To make matters worse, Lance Lynn will throw for the White Sox and has been one of their worst starters in 2023. Lynn is 4-6 with a 6.72 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP. Over 72.1 innings, he has allowed 84 hits with 29 walks and 16 homers. Lynn still has power which leads to strikeouts, but there is no reason not to trust Freeman with how well he has been hitting. Take the over on 1.5 total bases, as Freeman can hit this with a single swing of the bat.
Bo Bichette is fourth in MLB in batting average at .317. He has been consistently hitting for the Toronto Blue Jays despite it getting overshadowed by the team’s downfall. The Blue Jays are heating up, but they’ve been consistently 10 games back of the first-place Rays. Nevertheless, Bichette has been succeeding, and that means we should trust him on Tuesday with our betting. Bichette’s total bases prop is set at 1.5 for -135 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Dean Kremer will throw for the Orioles, and he has been bad this season. The pitcher is 6-3 because of their exceptional offense. He has a 4.89 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP. Over 70 innings, he has allowed 82 hits with just 59 strikeouts. Bichette won’t have to worry about elite strikeout ability with Kremer. He can sit back in the box and swing away. This will lead to him going over 1.5 total bases.
Patrick Wisdom has slowed down this season. This has been parallel to the Cubs' offense as of late. There aren’t a lot of players consistently hitting, but Wisdom’s total bases prop has too much value. It’s set at over 0.5 total bases for -140. Even though Wisdom isn’t consistently coming through with hits, he still has a lot of pop in his bat.
The third baseman is tied for 15th in baseball with 14 homers this season. He will face Luis Ortiz of the Pirates, who is 1-2 with a 4.23 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP. Over 27.2 innings, he has allowed 35 hits with just 16 strikeouts. Wisdom has been struggling with strikeouts, so Ortiz’s lack of power on the bump should help the batter relax. Nine of Wisdom’s 14 homers have come off righties this season, which also helps support this side of the bet.
Teoscar Hernandez has been dominant over his past three games. The batter is 6-13 with a double, homer, and four RBI. He is batting .252 with 11 homers and 36 RBI on the season. The matchup will be difficult for Hernandez against Edward Cabrera as he has been slightly worse off right-handed pitching.
Cabrera is 5-4 with a 4.29 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP. Over 63 inning, he has walked 38 batters. He has a strong command of the zone when he’s pitching well, but this control consistently lacks. If he makes one mistake, Hernandez will take advantage of it on Tuesday.
