In this game where the result is not significant for either team, we expect Rodon to record under 16.5 outs on the mound. Even if the Yankees do end up winning this game, there is very little reason to believe that Rodon will go deep into this contest.

So far this season, Rodon has gone 17 outs or more just four times in his 13 starts this year. His starts have not gone particularly well this season, as Rodon is 3-7 with an ERA of 5.74. In what will be his last start of the season, the Yankees are unlikely to want to risk injury with Rodon, as he missed a good chunk of this season, which was one of the many reasons the Yankees struggled this year.

Furthermore, this final series of the year will be a great chance for the Yankees to give more opportunities to their bullpen arms. He has allowed runs in four of his five starts since coming back from injury, and has not gone more than five innings in any of those starts. Eovaldi has also allowed four or more hits in three of his five starts since his return. We should see him continue to struggle here against a desperate Mariners squad.
