Yankees vs. Brewers - Max Fried vs. Jacob Misiorowski (7:40 PM EST)

The New York Yankees are in first place in the American League East, and they are currently favored to reach the World Series. The Brewers are having a solid season, but facing Max Fried will be a major challenge, as he has been nearly flawless this year.

Under 0.5 Run (-150) at Caesars Sportsbook

If you enjoy elite pitching, tune into Yankees vs. Brewers on Friday night. Fried and Misiorowski will start for their respective clubs, and both have been outstanding in 2026.

Fried is 4-1 with a 2.39 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP. He has allowed just 32 hits in 52.2 innings. While he is not an elite strikeout pitcher, he has surrendered only one home run this season.

The Brewers put the ball in play at a high rate, but I still like Fried in this spot. Misiorowski has produced similar numbers, but he brings even more strikeout upside.

Misiorowski is 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. He has recorded 59 strikeouts in 38 innings, which is ideal for NRFI betting. These two pitchers should be able to post scoreless first innings.

Mets vs. Diamondbacks - Nolan LcLean vs. Ryne Nelson (9:40 PM EST)

The Mets are starting to heat up, but they are still nine games under .500. However, this team is capable of making a run and getting back to even on the season.

Nolan McLean will pitch for the Mets, and he has been fantastic. The same cannot be said for Ryne Nelson, who has struggled to post consistent numbers.

McLean is 1-2 with a 2.97 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP, along with 51 strikeouts in 39.1 innings. I trust McLean more than most pitchers when it comes to NRFI betting.

Nelson has not found his best form yet, but the Mets’ offense has struggled to capitalize against weaker pitching. Nelson is also better than his numbers suggest, so this could be a good opportunity for him to settle in early.

Nelson is 1-3 with a 6.61 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP in 2026. If he can navigate the first inning cleanly, the NRFI should be in a strong position.

The Braves have lost two of their last three games, which is somewhat surprising. Even so, they still own the best record in the National League and will travel to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers.

He allows just over one home run per nine innings, which is really his only weakness. Still, I believe Sale will work through the Dodgers’ lineup in the first inning.

Emmet Sheehan will start for the Dodgers. He has been fairly average this season, but Los Angeles has elite defenders behind him to help limit damage. He also has strong strikeout stuff, which should benefit him in this matchup.
