Tigers vs. Guardians - Tarik Skubal vs. Joey Cantillo (4:10 PM EST)

The Tigers have struggled this season, but Tarik Skubal has been excellent.

The Detroit left-hander has been one of the most efficient pitchers in baseball, posting a 2.70 ERA and 0.95 WHIP through 43.1 innings. Skubal has allowed only 35 hits while striking out 45 batters and issuing just six walks. 

Few starters have been better at preventing hitters from reaching base, especially during the early stages of games.

Cleveland counters with Joey Cantillo, who has been less consistent but still possesses enough swing-and-miss ability to work through a clean first inning. Cantillo has recorded 63 strikeouts across 67 innings, giving him the tools to navigate a dangerous Detroit lineup when he's commanding the strike zone.

Dodgers vs. White Sox - Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. Sean Burke (4:10 PM EST)

This game features another frontline starter in Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who continues to deliver excellent results for Los Angeles.

Yamamoto enters with a 6-4 record, a 2.68 ERA, and a sparkling 0.92 WHIP. Through 77.1 innings, he has surrendered only 56 hits while striking out 73 batters. His combination of command and swing-and-miss stuff has made it difficult for opposing lineups to generate offense early.

Sean Burke has quietly been a reliable contributor for Chicago. The right-hander owns a 3.88 ERA and 1.18 WHIP while limiting opponents to 59 hits across 69.2 innings. Burke doesn't receive the same attention as Yamamoto, but he's done a solid job keeping games under control.

The Dodgers can score runs in a hurry, but Burke has shown enough consistency to survive the opening frame. With Yamamoto on the opposite side, a NRFI is the play.

Cubs vs. Giants - Ben Brown vs. Trevor McDonald (10:05 PM EST)

The late-night matchup in San Francisco may offer more value than any game on the slate.

Brown has been outstanding this season, compiling a 1.74 ERA and 0.88 WHIP through 57 innings. The Cubs right-hander has allowed only 34 hits and one home run all year while striking out 58 batters. Those numbers are exactly what bettors want to see when backing an NRFI.

McDonald has also delivered solid production for the Giants. Through 39 innings, he owns a 4.15 ERA and 1.18 WHIP while allowing just 34 hits. 

He has done a good job limiting hard contact and keeping opponents from putting together big innings.

Neither starter gives up many free opportunities, and both offenses can be streaky at times. That combination makes this matchup an attractive option to stay scoreless through the first.

Rockies vs. Athletics - Kyle Freeland vs. Jeffrey Springs: This matchup remains the clear YRFI choice on today's card. Colorado and Oakland have both struggled on the mound throughout the season, and neither Freeland nor Springs has consistently dominated opposing lineup.
