Bryce Harper may not be the superstar he once was, but you wouldn’t guess it watching him over the last two weeks. The slugger’s hot bat has helped the Phillies turn their seasons around, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. We’ll share why we like him to go deep today below, along with two other prop bets we love from Thursday’s slate of games.

The 25-year-old shortstop remains the brightest part of Washington’s future, and he showed why in April. He finished the month batting .308 with eight home runs and a 1.040 OPS, despite the rest of the lineup struggling. While he has cooled off a bit at the start of May, that will change today.
The reason why we are backing Abrams today is Twins’ starter Simeon Woods-Richardson (0-5, 6.49 ERA, 1.76 WHIP). The fellow 25-year-old had a solid first two starts to the 26th campaign, but has been hammered in the five since then, posting an 8.61 ERA and allowing six home runs over 23 innings.
While SWR has gotten Abrams out in four of their five meetings, the lone exception was a home run from the power-hitting shortstop.
Minnesota’s bullpen has been a problem this season, posting the third-highest ERA (5.26) in the league. That means Abrams will face struggling pitching throughout the game, giving us plenty of reason to back him to go deep today.

Our second bet is a long shot that we are locking in today. While Isaac Collins isn’t known for his power, he is swinging one of the hottest bats in baseball. He owns a 1.393 OPS in May, with one home run and two doubles over his first five games. Now, he’ll be returning home, where he leads the team with a .365 average and three home runs.
We are willing to take a chance on Collins, thanks in part to Slade Cecconi (1-4, 6.56 ERA, 1.57 WHIP) starting for the Guardians. The 26-year-old seemed poised to break out after a strong 2025 campaign, but instead, his old struggles have reappeared.
One of those struggles is keeping the ball in the park, allowing five home runs over his previous three starts (16 innings).

After a brutal start to the season, the Phillies are finally getting hot. A big reason for that has been Bryce Harper, who ranks in the top 20 of the league in home runs (9) and OPS (.948). Over his last 12 games, the former NL MVP is batting .333 with four home runs, leading the Phillies to win 8 of their last 12 games.
Harper’s hot bat is going to be bad news for A’s starter JT Ginn (0-1, 4.30 ERA, 1.26 WHIP). The righty is one of the team’s most promising arms, but he failed to do much during his rookie campaign last season. He made 16 starts on 23 total appearances, finishing with a 5.08 ERA and 17 home runs.
The A’s bullpen is also an issue, with a 4.82 ERA on the season with 17 home runs allowed. Considering Ginn has only lasted past the fifth inning in two of his eight starts this season.
