Happy Memorial Day, everyone! This is one of the great days on the MLB schedule every year, as it features a full schedule on a Monday with plenty of day games. Of course, that makes it a little tricky to pick out home run targets.
Perhaps that’s why our targets for Monday are probably a little surprising.

There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the three players we’re locked in on.
Alonso is our most obvious target for Monday, yet his odds of +410 are quite lucrative, especially for one of the best power hitters of the last five years. While he got off to a slow start in Baltimore, Alonso is up to 10 home runs on the season, including two in his last four games. In fact, he has six home runs in May, so he’s performing more or less as expected in recent weeks.
Of course, it’s Alonso’s matchup on Monday with Tampa’s Shane McClanahan that inspired us to make him our top home run target. Alonso is 3 for 6 with a double and a home run in his career against McClanahan. It’s a small sample size, but with McClanahan making his second straight start against the Orioles, Alonso will be ready for him.

DeLauter got off to an incredible start this season, hitting four home runs in his first three games. Of course, that means he’s hit just three home runs since the end of March. In fact, DeLauter has just one home run since May 3. So, why are we making him a home run target for Monday?
It’s because the Guardians are facing Zack Littell, who has allowed 15 home runs this season, the second most in the big leagues. It’d be foolish not to target at least one player on the Guardians to go deep. Twelve of the 15 home runs he’s allowed have been hit by left-handed hitters. DeLauter is a left-handed hitter, and all seven of his home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, so this bet has great symmetry.

Adames is another hitter who has a modest home run total, hitting just six long balls thus far in 2026. However, he’s in the middle of a hot streak that’s too much to ignore. He has five hits in his last six games, and three of them have been home runs. For whatever reason, Adames has found his home run stroke, so we have to strike while the iron is hot.
Monday’s matchup with Merrill Kelly and the Diamondbacks should also help Adames. He has 28 career at-bats against Adames, including a couple of home runs. Kelly isn’t exactly having a good season, pitching to a 5.71 ERA, with eight home runs allowed in just 40.1 innings. He also faced the Giants last week, so Adames and other San Francisco hitters will know what to expect.

With just two home runs this season, McNeil is admittedly a long shot to hit a home run on Monday. But his track record against Seattle’s Luis Castillo is crazy, making it worthwhile to take a chance on him. McNeil is 8 for 15 with two doubles and three home runs in his career against Castillo. For whatever reason, McNeil taps into his power when facing him.
It should help McNeil that Castillo is having a dreadful season. Across 10 starts, he’s posted a 6.41 ERA and given up seven home runs. Left-handed hitters are responsible for five of the seven home runs, slugging .520 against Castillo, which further plays into McNeil’s favor.
