Best MLB Home Run Predictions Today: Willy Adames Set to Go Wild at Home on Saturday

Like so many Brewers before him, Willy Adames has seen his offensive numbers shrink after leaving Milwaukee. The shortstop is struggling to get hits, but he’s been crushing the ball when he does make contact. He owns 14 home runs already, and we see him adding to that total on Saturday.

Home Run Picks for Saturday, June 27

There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the three players we’re locked in on. 

Riley Greene Anytime Home Run (+400) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Riley Greene is off to another strong start to the season, though his power has only returned this month. He’s batting .288 with nine home runs and a .816 OPS, which is the second-highest of his career. While those numbers may not make him a lock for home run prop bets most days, we believe the stage is set for him to thrive today.

Detroit’s Comerica Park isn’t overly friendly to power hitters, but that hasn’t stopped Greene from posting a .300 average and accounting for five of his nine home runs. 

Greene will also face a favorable pitching matchup with Kai-Wei Teng (4-6, 4.03 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) on the mound. The reliever entered Houston’s rotation last month and started strong, but June hasn’t been kind. He’s 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA over just 18 ⅓ innings, allowing four home runs.

He turned things around in his last start against a bad Cleveland lineup, but Greene will provide more of a challenge today. Once Teng exits, he’ll hand things over to a Houston bullpen that ranks in the bottom ten of the league in ERA (4.56 ERA) and home runs allowed (46).

Willy Adames Anytime Home Run (+500) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Willy is scuffling at the plate in June with a measly .171 average, but that hasn’t stopped him from going deep six times. He now has 14 on the season, putting him on pace to once again finish the season with 30+. That makes him a sneaky good home run prop bet when the pitching matchup is right.

That will be the case tonight as Adames and the Giants welcome Bryce Elder (5-5, 3.71 ERA, 1.21). His season stats are padded from a fantastic first two months, but things have come apart over his last two. He allowed a combined 14 earned runs and three home runs over just 10 innings. 

This is the version of Elder we saw last June and July, where he went 2-5 with an ERA over 8.00. 

Adames has gotten the better of the Braves’ starter over his career, posting a 1.165 OPS and two home runs over 16 at-bats.

Jorge Soler Anytime Home Run (+420) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Angels outfielder struggled badly in May, but things changed in June. He went 4-for-11 to open the month, but then hit the IL with a left oblique injury. That break to heal made a big difference, as evidenced by his two home runs in his first three games since returning. 

Soler has also been far more reliable when at home, where he owns a respectable .808 OPS and has hit seven of his 11 home runs. 

We expect his bat to stay hot today as he prepares to face A’s starter Jack Perkins (2-3, 6.26 ERA, 1.37 WHIP). The righty has been filling in as a starter, but hasn’t adjusted well. He’s 0-1 with a 7.50 ERA and five home runs allowed over four starts (18 innings) in June. 

We don’t expect Perkins to go for more than four innings, but that won’t hurt Soler’s chances. The A’s bullpen remains one of the worst in the league, allowing the fifth most home runs.
