Saturday's MLB schedule features several pitching matchups that stand out in the NRFI market. Logan Webb takes the mound at home which is always fun and the Red Sox vs. Yankees rivalry continues from Fenway Park.

The rivalry continues on Saturday after the Red Sox took the first two games of the series. Boston’s bats have come from behind and set the tone, but they could have trouble against a former Cy Young winner.
Gerrit Cole has looked sharp since returning to the Yankees' rotation, compiling a 3.62 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 32.1 innings. The veteran has surrendered only 29 hits while matching that total with 29 strikeouts, giving New York a dependable arm to begin the afternoon.
Boston answers with Jake Bennett, who has quietly impressed through his first 26.2 innings. Bennett owns a 3.71 ERA and 1.13 WHIP while allowing just one home run all season. His ability to avoid hard contact should help him against a dangerous Yankees lineup, despite not having an overpowering arsenal.
With two starters capable of settling in quickly, this game has a good chance to remain scoreless through the opening inning.

Chase Burns has quickly become one of the most dominant young starters in baseball, making this one of my favorite NRFI plays of the day.
Burns enters at 9-1 with a 2.00 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 85.2 innings. Burns has piled up 102 strikeouts while limiting opponents to just 61 hits, consistently overpowering hitters from the first pitch.
Jones has battled through an inconsistent season, but his strikeout ability still gives him a chance to escape early jams. The Pirates right-hander has recorded 21 strikeouts in 20.1 innings, and if he can keep the walks in check, he should keep bats quiet.
Burns is the difference-maker here, and I expect this matchup to stay scoreless after one before the runs start to develop.

The late game features one of the steadiest pitchers in the National League taking the mound.
Logan Webb has posted a 3.35 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over 83.1 innings while allowing only 73 hits. His command and ability to induce weak contact have made him one of the more dependable starters in baseball, especially during the early innings.
He is also fantastic at home over his career.
Bryce Elder has also delivered a solid season for Atlanta, going 5-5 with a 3.71 ERA across 94.2 innings. He has consistently worked deep into games by limiting mistakes and forcing hitters to earn their way on base.
With two experienced starters on the mound and both offenses facing difficult matchups, this is another strong NRFI opportunity.

Athletics vs. Angels - Jack Perkins vs. Reid Detmers This is my favorite YRFI play on Saturday's slate. Perkins has struggled throughout the year, posting a 6.26 ERA while allowing 47 hits in just 46 innings, and the Angels have enough power to capitalize if he falls behind early.
