Best MLB Home Run Predictions Today: Banking on Some Marsh Madness in the ‘Nati
Brandon Marsh has always been a good player for the Phillies, but he has elevated his game at the plate in 2026. He’s hitting for average and power, quickly becoming one of the league’s most dangerous batters. While a regression is likely coming, it won’t start today.
Below, we’ll share why we love his chance to add another home run to his growing totals today. We’ll also cover two other home run predictions we love from today’s slate of games.

Home Run Picks for Thursday, July 9
There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the three players we’re locked in on.
Ryan O’Hearn Anytime Home Run (+630) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Pirates continue to surpass expectations in 2026, and Ryan O’Hearn is a big reason why. The first baseman is having the best season of his career and is just one long ball away from matching his career high of 17. That success has carried into July, with O’Hearn smacking three home runs on Tuesday against Atlanta.
We’re also backing O’Hearn because he’ll be up against Atlanta’s Bryce Elder (5-6, 4.01 ERA, 1.23 WHIP). The 27-year-old fell apart in June, going 1-3 with an 8.10 ERA. Home runs are a big reason for his struggles, as he surrendered seven over 26 ⅔ innings pitched last month.
We know Elder has the stuff to be a very good starter, but he hasn’t shown any signs of turning things around. Over his last three starts, the righty has allowed 19 earned runs and five home runs over 14 innings.

Bo Bichette Anytime Home Run (+480) at FanDuel Sportsbook
We don’t usually focus on Bichette when placing home run prop bets, but we believe today’s pitching matchup makes him a high-value pick.
Michael Wacha (5-6, 3.45 ERA, 1.16 WHIP) will be making the start today for the Royals. The 35-year-old hasn’t struggled with home runs in the past, but was rocked in his last start. The Phillies tagged him for three long balls over six innings, sending the righty to his sixth loss of the season.
While one start doesn’t mean Wacha is on the decline, it shows a vulnerability. That will be good news for Bichette, who owns a .438 average and 1.161 OPS in 16 at-bats against the Royals starter.
Even if Wacha gets back on track today, he’ll still be turning things over to a stunningly bad bullpen. The unit has the second-worst ERA (5.22) in the league and has allowed a whopping 51 home runs.

Brandon Marsh Anytime Home Run (+390) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Don’t look now, but Brandon Marsh has been one of the best hitters in baseball in the first half of the 2026 season. He ranks in the top ten of the league with a .309 average, and is just one home run short of matching his career high of 16. While he’s been quiet at the start of July, we believe the stage is set for that to change tonight.
Reds’ starter Brady Singer (3-8, 5.03 ERA, 1.54 WHIP) has seen his control go haywire in his seventh MLB season. While he did a better job of preventing home runs in June, he couldn’t keep runners off the basepaths. That led to his brief resurgence coming to a crashing end, as he allowed eight runs (seven earned) and three long balls over his last two starts (91 /3 innings).
Singer has already allowed 20 home runs, putting him in the bottom five among MLB pitchers.
