Coach: Tom Thibodeau
Key Players: Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges
Form: NYK def. CHO (99-98)
The New York Knicks have been excellent in the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup, undefeated through three games. Their offense has been amongst the best in the NBA despite them losing the defensive quality of past seasons. The pairing of Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns has proven challenging to match, and it’ll be their strength going into the knockout phases.
New York faced its toughest test of the Emirates NBA Cup in its last group phase match against the Charlotte Hornets, winning 99-98. They overcame the Hornets despite allowing them to hit 15 threes while committing 21 turnovers. Unsurprisingly, Jalen Brunson led the way, putting up 31 points and six assists on 50.0% shooting.
The Knicks will play Game 4 of their Emirates NBA Cup Group Phase against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, December 3.

Coach: Steve Kerr
Key Players: Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Buddy Hield
Form: GSW def. NOP (112-108)
Expectations for the Golden State Warriors weren’t high to enter the regular season, but a swift start has them ascending the odds tables for both the Emirates NBA Cup and the NBA Championship. Behind the leadership and experience of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and a revitalized second unit led by Buddy Hield, it seems the sun hasn’t yet set on the Warriors dynasty. Young players like Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski must step up if the Warriors hope to compete, and the Emirates NBA Cup is where their standards will be tested.
With their third match in the Emirates NBA Cup, a win over the New Orleans Pelicans, the Warriors clinched Group C and their place in the knockout rounds. Rather than Curry leading the way as usual, veteran forward Andrew Wiggins stepped up to lead the team with 30 points in a tightly contested affair against a depleted Pelicans squad.
The Warriors will play Game 4 of their Emirates NBA Cup Group Phase against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, December 3.

Coach: Mark Daigneault
Key Players: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren
Form: OKC def. LAL (101-93)
The Oklahoma City Thunder had high expectations going into this season. After winning the first seed in 2023-24 but falling short in the playoffs, the Thunder are expected to grow into the next great team in the Western Conference. A great place to start their legacy is in the Emirates NBA Cup, where they’ve faced one of the most challenging groups.
The Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 101-93 in their last Group Phase game. Despite the quality and experience presented by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Thunder were able to weather the storm and lock down the Lakers defensively. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the night's star, posting 36 points, nine assists, and three made threes.
The Thunder will play Game 4 of their Emirates NBA Cup Group Phase against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, December 3.

Coach: Doc Rivers
Key Players: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, Bobby Portis
Form: MIL def. MIA (1106-103)
The Milwaukee Bucks have recovered from a dreadful start to the season and are now challenging the upper tier of the Eastern Conference. They still need to work on their bench quality and consistency, but the duo of Antetokounmpo and Lillard has again proven one of the most dangerous in the league. If the team hopes to convince the league they’re championship contenders, expect a strong run into the Emirates NBA Cup knockout phase.
Milwaukee defeated the Miami Heat in their most recent NBA Cup Group Phase match, holding their rivals to just 103 points. With Giannis Antetokounmpo out, Damian Lillard took charge, posting 37 points, 12 assists, and making eight threes in a vintage performance. They’ll need a full complement going into the knockout phase, but Milwaukee is a dangerous team with Lillard and Antetokounmpo available.
The Bucks will play Game 4 of their Emirates NBA Cup Group Phase against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, December 3.
