Our first prop bet of the day will come from the Tampa Bay Lightning-Toronto Maple Leafs' game. The Lightning won Game One handily. Tampa scored three first-period goals, three second-period goals, and one third-period goal. The Lightning gave up three goals of their own, but their offense carried them to an easy victory. This prop will involve Maple Leafs’ John Tavares. Tavares has been in the NHL for nearly 15 years and is still producing at a high level. He is in his fifth season in Toronto and finished the year with 80 points (36 goals, 44 assists). Tavares will finish this game with at least one point. Bet on the over.
Tavares finished Game One with an assist and had at least one point in his last three regular-season games. The center averaged exactly one point per game during the season and has been a consistent source of offense all year long. Tavares also has the benefit of having five talented scorers on his team in Mitchell Marner, William Nylander, Auston Matthews, John Tavares, and Michael Bunting. If Tavares does not score a goal, he will have plenty of opportunities to set his teammates up with scoring opportunities. The center will finish the game with at least one point. Bet on the over.

Our second prop bet of the day will come from the Rangers-Devils game. This series is highly touted, as these teams play so close to each other and have similar records. The Rangers surprised the Devils in Game One and won 5-1. New York York scored two first-period goals, which gave them the necessary momentum to win this game. We will look at the Devils Timo Meier for this prop. Meier has become a key player on the Devils since being traded there. He had nine goals and five assists in 21 games with New Jersey. With that being said, the over/under is set too high for him in this matchup. Meier will finish with three or fewer shots. Bet on the under.
Meier has only shot four or more times twice this season. He is not afraid to shoot but does not get a ton of opportunities to do. The 26-year-old will not put up a ton of shots in this series. He is facing a Rangers team that gave up less than 30 shots per game this season, so it is not reasonable to expect him to have four or more shots today. Bet on the under.

Our fourth prop bet of the day will come from the Kraken-Avalanche game. The Kraken won Game One 3-1. The Avalanche outshot the Kraken in this game but could not put more than one goal in the back of the net. This prop will involve the Avalanche’s J.T. Compher. Compher is not a star on the Avalanche but also is not a slouch. He finished the season with 52 points (17 goals, 35 assists) but struggled late in the year. Compher will fail to secure a point in this game. Bet on the under.
Compher has only had three points in April (including Game One). He is going through a slump, and his numbers reflect that. In addition, Compher had zero points in three games against the Kraken this season. He is not performing well and facing a Kraken team that has his number. Bet on the under.

Our fourth prop bet of the day will come from the Jets vs Golden Knights game. The Jets were firing on all cylinders in Game One and won 5-1. The Vegas defense limited Winnipeg to 17 shots, and Connor Hellebuyck saved 16 of them. Mark Stone will be the subject of this prop. Stone, a winger, played over 21 minutes in Game One and did not take one shot. I expect him to take one or two shots today but not three or more. Bet on the under.
Stone spent much of the season injured and played his last regular season game in January. He is getting back into the groove of things, so it is understandable if he has not returned to form yet. This will likely take a couple of games, so Stone will not shoot as much today. If he was healthy to end the season, I would say otherwise, but the situation is different. Bet on the under.

Our final prop bet of the day will take us back to Toronto. This prop will also involve a Maple Leaf player, but not John Tavares. Instead, it will involve Auston Matthews. Matthews finished with 20 fewer points this year than last year. With that being said, Matthews still had 85 points (40 goals, 45 assists) on the season. He was not the most efficient scorer this year, but he took plenty of shots and put plenty of pucks in the back of the net. Matthews will finish this game with a goal. Bet on him to be an anytime scorer.
Matthews averaged over 4.4 shots per game this season. He converted a little over 12% of his shots and is regarded as a top scorer in this league. Matthews is incredibly skilled with the puck in his hands and can score at any given moment. With that being said, Matthews failed to score in Game One and the final game of the regular season. He rarely goes more than two games without scoring a goal, so it is safe to say he is due to score in this matchup. This bet may be a little risky, but the numbers point towards a goal. Bet on Matthews to be an anytime scorer.
