Betting on the 2022-23 NFL Season is No Joke

Bill has stated it on almost every show since the start of the NFL season, “Anything can happen on any given Sunday.” After NFL Week 9, that statement is as relevant as ever. Week after week, favorites are losing or just barely pulling it together, such as the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Tennessee Titans by just 3 points.

With this, Bill wants to make it clear, “I’m not laying double digits in an NFL game on favorites, you just can’t trust them.” With each week bringing unpredictable match outcomes, the guys can’t help but reiterate that this season is no joke to bet on, and football is tougher to beat than ever.

As a victim of the unpredictability, Bill is likely to lose a bet he was so certain he would win, with betting under 7.5 season wins for the New York Jets, “I don’t think I’m going to be taking home that money.” However, Bill wants to give credit where credit is due, “The Seattle Seahawks, the Jets, the New York Giants… you have to hand it to them and their coaching.”

This also leads to another revelation that the sportsbooks cleaned up for another week, only adding to what is possibly one of their biggest years ever. Bill puts in his two cents, “If the rest of the year you break even, I don’t want to hear it!”

With game scores getting lower and lower, totals only continue to move down more and more, to which Bill has to say, “How low are they supposed to go, it’s unbelievable!” Jon points out that a handful of teams that people would expect to come out swinging, like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers are generally having terrible first halves. Jon adds, “The Philadelphia Eagles are the only ones crushing the first half!”

With the season ever-evolving, Jon inquires Bill about his betting strategy throughout such a topsy-turvy year, “Does all this unpredictability change the way you’re betting?” Bill thinks for a second, “In a way… you know I don’t bet sides, and there’s no clear-cut way to make bets in this league.”

With Bill reiterating that the parity of the league is unbelievable this season, Jon wants to know, “At this point, do you start to look for underdogs?” Bill smiles, “Yes, but it just doesn’t get any easier!”

Speaking of underdogs, Bill and Jon go on a tangent about the New York Jets, who had just defeated the Super Bowl favorites Buffalo Bills this past weekend. Jon wants to make things interesting, “I want you to put $5k on the Jets today, let’s make Wise Kracks history!” Bill snickers and assures Jon that they’re not going to beat the Bills in the division alone, to which Jon replies, “But they just beat them!”

With Jon putting some goodwill behind the Jets, much like he had just done with the World Series losers Philadelphia Phillies, Bill gets the final word in, “There you have it, folks, Jon Orlando just buried the New York Jets.”

Why You Should Bet on College Basketball

“College basketball has been good to you, huh Krack?”

For the past decade, college basketball has been one of Bill’s go-to sports to bet on. To him, the NCAAB season provides some of the best action on the market. Bill is a giving man, so he wanted to share a few tips with you so that college basketball treats you and your bankroll just as well as it treats him.

  1. With tons of teams comes tons of value. Bill elaborates, “There’s less information out there on lesser-known schools, which in turn means the bookmakers have less information and ultimately loose lines are set.” With this holding true for college football, this is amplified for college basketball as there are almost three times the amount of teams.

  2. You can find value to buy in on points for college basketball, “Although I normally don’t buy points as a general practice, in college basketball, I buy on the numbers 2 or 3 in certain circumstances.” Bill also adds that it’s important to get the correct number on basketball sides.

  3. Pay attention to totals, “The lower the total, the more it’s worth.” Bill has always been a big supporter of betting totals, and with college basketball, it’s no different. To him, college basketball totals are some of the easiest to beat, “Most college basketball totals are going to be in the 120 to 160 point range… the opportunities are there if you know where to find them!”

  4. Know how to manage your bankroll, “Bankroll management is the most important thing and the hardest thing.” For Bill, it’s important not to fall into the trap of chasing earlier losses and to keep your bets the same based on bankroll percentage throughout the season. Bill concludes, “Don’t bet because a game is on TV, this leads to gambler’s ruin… you have no chance at having a successful betting career if you don’t pay attention to your bankroll!”

With these tips in your back pocket, the chances of you rolling in the green while betting on college basketball this season will skyrocket. Everybody say thanks to the Krackman!
