World Cup BTTS Predictions 2026 06 16 Kylian Mbappe France

France vs. Senegal: BTTS Yes (+110) at DraftKings

France is among the favorites to win World Cup 2026, and one glance at its squad is enough to tell you why. Their roster is packed full of talent in virtually every area, but the offensive options available to Didier Deschamps will be of particular envy to most other managers at this tournament. A potential front four of Ousmane Dembele, Michael Olise, Desire Doue and Kylian Mbappe sets the pulse racing.

The irony is, Deschamps is a cautious tactician for the most part. France has some of the most thrilling soccer players on the planet in its ranks, but it will not be the most thrilling team at the World Cup. Les Bleus will win games on moments more than flow. It will be happy to give up possession more than some of the other favorites for the trophy, most notably Spain.

Even so, France’s attacking quality means it would be a surprise if anyone kept a clean sheet against it. Senegal is unlikely to shut France out on matchday one, but Pape Thiaw’s team can give its opponent something to think about in the other direction. Thiaw is a manager who likes his side to attack, so Senegal will not be overly respectful of France.

Senegal has scored in 10 of its last 11 matches if you include the Africa Cup of Nations final (the Lions of Teranga won 1-0 on the field, but the Confederation of African Football later awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory). Senegal have the tools to test France’s defense today. Go for BTTS yes at +110 with DraftKings.

Iraq vs. Norway: BTTS No (-175) at DraftKings

The second of our soccer BTTS predictions today is ‘no’ in Iraq vs Norway, the two other teams in Group I alongside France and Senegal. Both sides have been absent from the World Cup since the 20th century, so they cannot wait to get the ball rolling today. Norway starts as the favorite and we expect it to deny Iraq a goal in its tournament opener.

Stale Solbakken’s side qualified for the World Cup in style. Norway won each of its eight qualifiers, including home and away victories over Italy. It scored 37 goals in those eight matches, by far the most in the European section of qualifying. No one kept a clean sheet against Norway, and we do not think Iraq will do so either.

It is not just Erling Haaland to look out for. The Manchester City man is Norway’s star player, but Martin Odegaard, Alexander Sorloth and Antonio Nusa have plenty to offer too. Even if Iraq is able to keep Haaland quiet (which seems improbable), Norway have other forwards who can make the difference.

Norway’s backline is not as eye-catching as its frontline, yet it has conceded either one or zero goals in 11 of its last 12 matches. Norway is a sturdier side than you might expect, so Iraq will be up against it. Worryingly, it failed to score against Venezuela in its last warm-up friendly before the big kick-off. Choose BTTS no -175 with DraftKings.

Argentina vs. Algeria: BTTS Yes (+120) at DraftKings

The defending champion Argentina begins the defense of its crown today, with Algeria providing the opposition at the Kansas City Stadium. Argentina is likely to triumph in its first game of the competition, but it is worth a wager on both teams to score given the odds on offer with our recommended World Cup betting sites. In our view, a clean sheet will be out of reach of the World Cup holder.

For its part, Argentina packs a punch in attack. Lionel Messi is in line to feature today after recovering from injury. But even if he does not play the full 90 minutes, Argentina has other forwards capable of making the difference. Julian Alvarez could soon be a Real Madrid or Barcelona player after a fine season with Atletico Madrid, while Nico Paz, Lautaro Martinez, Thiago Almada and Giuliano Simeone all offer their own attributes.

Argentina’s recent goalscoring record is excellent. It has found the back of the net in each of its last seven matches, which bodes ill for Algeria. But the North African nation has its own offensive quality. Of its last 12 fixtures across all competitions, it has scored in 10 of them. In World Cup qualification, Algeria notched 24 goals in 10 games.

Riyad Mahrez is past his best, but he can still make the difference with the odd moment of magic in the final third. Elsewhere, Mohamed Amoura is a quick and lively wide man, while Ibrahim Maza brings skill and poise to the No.10 role. Algeria has enough about it to make the net ripple. Round off your betslip for today with BTTS yes at +120 with DraftKings.
