Portugal vs. Uzbekistan

Portugal and Uzbekistan are targeting their first wins of World Cup 2026 today.

Bruno Fernandes to Score or Assist (-130) at DraftKings

Portugal left a lot to be desired on matchday one. Tipped by many as a potential world champion, Roberto Martinez’s side was unconvincing against DR Congo, drawing 1-1 to leave the team under pressure ahead of its upcoming match against Uzbekistan. Portugal went 1-0 up early on, but it did not produce another shot on target all game. It had 75 percent possession yet was outshot by DR Congo.

The post-match debate centered on Cristiano Ronaldo, who has outstayed his welcome in the starting XI. Do not expect Martinez to drop him, though. Ronaldo is a superstar and the most powerful figure in the Portugal locker room. Even though he is a problem for the national team, the obvious solution will be ignored.

Others will have to step up, and the most likely candidate to do so is Bruno Fernandes. For much of his Manchester United career, Fernandes has carried an underperforming and underwhelming team. He must now do the same at international level. The attacking midfielder is both a creator and a converter of chances, so the first of our recommended soccer player props is Fernandes to score or assist against Uzbekistan, available at -130 with DraftKings.

England vs. Ghana

England continues its World Cup journey with a game against Ghana today.

England to Score in Both Halves (-120) at DraftKings

England kick-started its World Cup campaign with a victory, beating fellow European nation Croatia 4-2 on matchday one. The score was 2-2 at half-time, but Thomas Tuchel’s team came out all guns blazing at the start of the second period, playing with a level of intensity that Croatia could not handle. In the end, England was a worthy winner.

It looks like Tuchel has decided that England’s best chance of a successful summer is by letting its offense off the leash. The Three Lions did not defend particularly well against Croatia, hence its concession of two goals. But its attack, led by Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, was too hot to handle and that will probably be the case again today.

Ghana kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Panama, and its head coach Carlos Queiroz knows how to set up a defense. But that will not be enough to halt England. In its last three defeats, all of which occurred in 2026, Ghana conceded either side of half-time. Tip England to score in both halves at -120 with DraftKings.

Panama vs. Croatia

Panama and Croatia are both looking to bounce back from opening-game defeats.

Under 2.5 Goals (-115) at DraftKings

There were six goals in Croatia’s opening encounter of World Cup 2026, making it one of the highest-scoring games at the tournament so far. We do not expect this match to follow suit. Croatia may have struck twice against England, but that was more down to its opponent’s defensive deficiencies than its own attacking brilliance. Its 10 shots amounted to just 0.7 xG.

Panama did not excel as an offensive unit in its first match either. The CONCACAF nation was marginally the better team in the opening 45 minutes, yet it completely tailed off after the break. Five of Panama’s 11 shots were from outside the box, which does not point to a team fashioning clear-cut opportunities.

Croatia was not able to exert its usual level of control against England, with Luka Modric not at his best. It will have much more of the ball in this match, but it will have to be patient as it attempts to break down a Panama backline which was seconds away from keeping a clean sheet against Ghana. Select under 2.5 goals at -115 with DraftKings, a bet which has paid out in five of Panama’s last eight encounters.

Colombia vs. DR Congo

Colombia and DR Congo face off in the final game on matchday two of the World Cup.

DR Congo Over 0.5 Goals (-107) at DraftKings

The last of our daily World Cup team props for today’s matches focuses on Colombia vs DR Congo, an intriguing game in Guadalajara. Colombia is top of Group K after its 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan last week. It only scored its third goal in second-half stoppage time to put the game out of its opponent’s reach, but Nestor Lorenzo’s side was the fully deserved winner.

DR Congo was just as impressive on matchday one, albeit in a different way. It fell behind to Portugal early on and could have folded, yet it retained its composure and fought back for a 1-1 draw. DR Congo did not have much of the ball, but it used it well when it gained possession. In fact, it outperformed Portugal on xG and will be confident of causing Colombia problems today.

Colombia did not manage to keep a clean sheet against Uzbekistan, and it is now about to face a stronger side in DR Congo. The Leopards have scored in 16 of their last 18 matches, so choose DR Congo to score over 0.5 goals at -107 with DraftKings.
