The knockout phase continues today, and we have picked out our favorite FIFA World Cup props for the three games on the schedule on Day 20. Mexico, one of the tournament co-hosts, returns to the field, with Norway and France also in action.
A prop bet is a wager on a specific event within a game rather than the final result. Here are our top World Cup player props and team picks for today's action in North America, as the knockout phase gets under way in earnest after yesterday’s solitary game.

Ivory Coast and Norway compete for a place in the round of 16 at World Cup 2026.
Today’s World Cup soccer begins with an intriguing encounter in Arlington, as Ivory Coast and Norway go head-to-head in the last 32. Neither team has ever won a World Cup knockout tie before, so either Ivory Coast or Norway will make history this summer. In fact, this is the first time ever that the Ivorians have made it beyond the group stage.
The best online sportsbooks have Norway down as favorites. Their best players, including Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard and Alexander Sorloth, were rested in the 4-1 defeat by France last time out, as Stale Solbakken opted to keep his key men fresh for the round of 32. Both Norway and Ivory Coast collected six points in the group phase.
It is also worth noting that Ivory Coast and Norway both scored in 100 percent of their group games, while there were goals at both ends in all three of Norway’s matches in Group I. With the likes of Haaland, Odegaard, Yan Diomande and Amad Diallo on the field, this match will not be short of attacking talent. Given that, it is difficult to see either team keeping a clean sheet at the AT&T Stadium. Choose both teams to score at -136 with FanDuel.

One of the World Cup favorites, France, takes on Sweden in an all-European tie.
The next selection from our daily World Cup team props comes from France’s latest match in North America. Didier Deschamps’ team topped its group comfortably, winning all three games against Senegal, Iraq and Norway to advance in first place. France is only the third-favorite to lift the trophy this summer, but that is in part because it has ended up on the harder side of the bracket. If France gets past Sweden today, it is likely to face Germany next.
Sweden had a strange group stage. It beat Tunisia 5-1, then lost to the Netherlands by the same scoreline. A 1-1 tie with Japan took it through, but it is the obvious underdog in this last-32 clash. With Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres up front, Sweden is a top-heavy team and its defensive shortcomings will be exploited by France at the MetLife Stadium.
Perhaps Sweden’s best chance of causing a shock is by fighting fire with fire and trying to take the game to France. It will have to pick its moments, of course, but Isak, Gyokeres and Anthony Elanga give Sweden genuine firepower. Go for over 3.5 goals at +152 with FanDuel.

Kylian Mbappe means business. The France international did not manage to find the back of the net in the 4-1 triumph over Norway last time out, but he was still a thorn in the side of the opposition defense until he was taken off in the 87th minute. Mbappe has four goals to his name so far, as the Real Madrid man attempts to lead France to a third consecutive World Cup final.
The problem for France’s opponents is that they cannot simply focus all their defensive efforts on Mbappe. Ousmane Dembele notched a superb hat-trick against Norway. Michael Olise was terrific throughout the group stage. Desire Doue is one of the brightest young talents on the planet. France has unrivaled strength in depth at the top of the field.
Mbappe is still the main man, though, and he has what it takes to grab this game by the scruff of its neck. The 27-year-old hit the crossbar within seconds of kick-off against Norway, and he will look to make a similarly fast start to today’s game. Our recommended choice from the various soccer player props odds is Kylian Mbappe to score first, available at a price of +210 with FanDuel.

World Cup co-host Mexico meets Ecuador at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
Mexico successfully won Group A to ensure it remains on home soil for the beginning of the knockout phase. That is a major advantage. Mexico would draw large crowds north of the border in the USA, but it is not the same as playing at the Estadio Azteca. This will be like an away game for Ecuador, which puts it at an immediate disadvantage.
Still, Sebastian Beccacece and his players remain on a high after Ecuador’s 2-1 victory over Germany last time out. It was a game it had to win to advance to the knockout phase, and despite going behind early on, Ecuador took care of business. It will fall back on its defensive solidity against Mexico, aiming to frustrate Javier Aguirre’s charges by getting players behind the line of the ball.
Mexico scored six goals in the group stage, but it will find things tougher against an Ecuador defense which was unfortunate to not keep a clean sheet against Germany, whose early goal should have been disallowed. Go for under 2.5 goals, a wager which has paid out in 13 of Ecuador’s last 16 games, at -200 with FanDuel.
