The trade value chart is far easier to assess prior to the season than at any other time.

Once the regular season begins, a player’s value rises and falls with their week-to-week performance and can be better sorted by focusing on their stat lines.

For quarterbacks, the most high-priority stats are touchdowns, passing yards, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns.

Mobility is key for some quarterback’s success such as Lamar Jackson. He doesn’t tally up too many throwing yards so his rushing stats are paramount. Whereas a guy like Tom Brady would be considered the polar opposite.

At running back, you should focus on yards and touchdowns of course, but the big one is touching. A running back’s usage is everything. Once that starts to drop, you know you’ve got problems. The more they see the ball the better off you’ll be – generally.

At wide receiver, touchdowns and receiving yards are everything.

However, similar to touches with a running back, receptions are also key as well.

They’ll help you better determine their usage, but you’ll get points for each catch in a PPR league as well. A tight ends stats are graded the same way wideouts are.

Scoring Leaders by Position
