Best MLB Home Run Props Today: Another Long Night in Store for Chris Bassitt
Toronto starting pitcher Chris Bassitt has not been enjoying baseball lately. After posting a 0.77 ERA over his first four starts, he has fallen apart, allowing six home runs over his last three. We’ll share why we are betting against him again tonight, as well as two other anytime home run bets we love.
The odds we use for our home run bets are taken from Caesars Sportsbook. Head over to Caesars, sign up for a new account with our promo code WSNDYW, and claim a “Bet $1, Get Ten 100% Profit Boost Tokens” offer.

Home Run Picks for Wednesday, May 14
Fernando Tatis Jr. to Hit a Home Run (+225) at Caesars Sportsbook
The Padres slugger is one of the safer anytime home run bets in the league, but there are a couple of extra reasons to lock him in tonight.
The first is that Tatis has been one of the top hitters in baseball when playing at home this season. He owns a .368 average and 1.068 OPS, leading to more home runs being hit at Petco Park. With the slugger hitting the ball hard over the last few games, we are more than willing to lock him in to go deep tonight.
The second reason we love this bet is that Kyle Hendricks (1-4, 5.30 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) will be on the mound for the Halos. The veteran seemed to be turning things around after delivering a gem in Detroit two weeks ago, but returned to his losing ways against the Orioles in his next start. With Hendricks struggling badly with his control, expect him to deliver a few meatballs for Tatis to capitalize on.

Shohei Ohtani to Hit a Home Run (+175) at Caesars Sportsbook
Ohtani has been playing incredible baseball in May, posting an OPS of 1.336 through his first 41 at-bats. His power stroke has also returned, hitting five in the first ten days of the month.
We believe Ohtani will thrive against A’s rookie starter Gunnar Hoglund (1-0, 2.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP). He looked sharp during his first two MLB starts, but he faced the Marlins and Mariners. The Dodgers are a totally different animal, and we expect the rookie to be overwhelmed by them on the road tonight.
Even if Hoglund can stay hot, he won’t be able to last more than six innings in this game. That’s a big problem for the Athletics, whose bullpen has been the worst in baseball. Closer Mason Miller continues to struggle, leaving the team with one or possibly two relievers you could call reliable. Ohtani will face this unit at least once, giving him an excellent chance to go deep late in this game.

Junior Caminero to Hit a Home Run (+550) at Caesars Sportsbook
The Rays’ third baseman is already making a name for himself at just 21 years old. He leads Tampa with seven home runs and has caught fire at the plate over the last week. However, this bet is more about Blue Jays’ starter Chris Bassitt (3-2, 3.35 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) than Caminero.
The 36-year-old started the season strong, but has been hammered over his last four starts. A big reason for that has been a struggle with the long ball, surrendering two home runs in three consecutive starts. Caminero and the Rays may not be known for their power, but even they have the talent to take a struggling Bassitt deep.
