The Padres have finally shown signs of turning things around over Memorial Day weekend. A big reason for their recent success has been Manny Machado, who has caught fire over the last week. Below, we’ll share why we like him to go deep tonight, as well as two other home run prop bets we love.

The Pirates' shortstop has been heating up over the last couple of weeks. His average is on the rise, along with his power. The slugger has gone deep three times over the last five days, raising his slugging percentage by over 35 points.
Cruz will have a great chance to go deep early on today with Zac Gallen (3-6, 5.25 ERA, 1.36 WHIP) on the mound for Arizona. The ace has been awful in 2025 and is showing no signs of slowing down. In the first start against the Rockies two weeks ago, he allowed four home runs, and the game wasn’t even in Coors Field.
Gallen continues to make mistakes on the mound, and a red-hot Cruz will capitalize on one tonight.

Don’t look now, but Manny Machado has been on fire over the last week. He owns a .333 average during that span, and has hit three home runs over his previous five. The 32-year-old is one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball when he gets hot, and we expect that to be the case again today.
Machado will be facing Marlins’ starter Sandy Alcantara (2-7, 8.04 ERA, 1.57 WHIP) this afternoon. The former Cy Young winner has had his career derailed by injuries and has failed to recapture his former glory. He has allowed four or more runs in five straight outings, even against bad lineups like the Angels, Rays, and White Sox.
With Alcantara likely to go for at least five innings, Machado will have plenty of chances to go deep against him.

The A’s may have cooled off, but Brent Rooker has been getting hot of late. He has a .360 average with two home runs over the last week, and we expect him to add another tonight.
Rooker will be facing Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. (0-1, 6.57 ERA, 2.03 WHIP) to start today. The 31-year-old is back with the team after playing just eight games in the last two seasons. Things haven’t been pretty since his return, as he hasn’t been able to limit baserunners. In his last start, he allowed five hits and three walks over 4 ⅓ innings.
With the righty struggling, we like Rooker’s chances of adding to his home run total today.
