Rodon has struck out 57 batters in 48.2 innings, which is his best quality. However, Sears can match Rodon’s elite capability, which is something to be excited about for Athletics’ bettors.

Sears is 4-2 with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. He has struck out 32 batters in 40 innings, but commands the zone. Rodon has walked 20 batters while Sears has only given six free passes. 

If a pitcher doesn’t give the Yankees free bases, it sets their team up for success. Hopefully, Sears will not walk many batters and tame the Yankees' power bats.

Rangers vs. Tigers (6:10 PM, EST)

The Rangers just dropped a series to the Red Sox, a team that defines averageness in Major League Baseball. Texas has been outstanding on the mound, but their offense has been rough. 

The Rangers have one of the worst offenses in baseball, despite having some big names throughout the lineup. They have a team of underperformers, which will make it hard to win a series against Detroit. 

Even with Jacob deGrom on the mound, I still anticipate the Tigers' offense succeeding. Jack Flaherty is a pitcher who can also deal for Detroit and gets his chance on Saturday. 

Flaherty has a 3.79 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in 38 innings. He has struck out 46 batters, so the Tigers have a great chance if he controls the zone. 

Detroit is 26-13 at home, whereas Texas is 6-13 on the road.

Red Sox vs. Royals (7:10 PM, EST)

The Red Sox are 20-20 after 40 games, and their star Rafael Devers refused to transition from DH to first base. The state of the Red Sox isn’t positive, but they have one of the best pitchers in baseball on the mound with Garrett Crochet in a must-win game.
