Max Muncy hasn’t been having a dominant offensive season, outside of his power numbers. The batter is hitting .191, but he has 21 home runs which is tied for 13th in baseball. He also has racked up 53 RBI with a .782 OPS, so he is delivering for his team. The meager batting average can make Muncy tough to bet on for total bases. Yet, his style of play is still manageable for a total bases bet because he has so much power, and can easily leave the yard with one swing.
Muncy’s total is set at 0.5 bases for -145, and this is a very fair price against Baltimore. Muncy has gone over this total just twice in his past five games, but he only needs one base hit for this wager to cash on Tuesday. Tyler Wells will throw for the Orioles, and he has been dominant in 2023 with a 3.18 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. Yet, he struggles with home runs, and this is one of the best parts of Muncy’s game.
The pitcher has allowed 21 homers in 104.2 innings, so when he makes mistakes, hitters can take advantage of the bad tosses. Wells should pitch well tonight, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that he struggles with location at times. This fact gives us belief Muncy can convert and go over 0.5 total bases. J.D. Davis has been sliding at the dish as of late after a dominant start to the season. However, we haven’t lost faith in him as a batter with his .268 average and .781 OPS. In his past four games, he has two hits including a homer with two RBI, plus three walks. He has been very productive, and we expect this to continue on Tuesday night.
Davis’ total bases prop is listed at 1.5 and the over is +105 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Davis shouldn’t be challenged too much by pitcher Luke Weaver of the Reds. The wing is 2-2 with a 7.00 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. Over 73.1 innings, he has allowed 96 hits with just 58 strikeouts and 17 homers. Davis should be able to sit back in the box and swing away in this spot. Weaver doesn’t have an overpowering arsenal and it shows with his numbers in 2023.
Take the over on 1.5 total bases, as Davis can hit this with a single swing. It’s even worth sprinkling Davis to go yard as his OPS is 50 points higher and seven of his 11 homers in 2023 have come off righties.

Adolis Garcia, an All-Star for the Rangers this season, has a total bases prop of 1.5 on Tuesday. The over is +105 which makes this bet very juicy as Garcis has been one of the best players in baseball in 2023. You may be concerned seeing that he is facing the Rays, a team with one of the best bullpens in the game. However, don’t be weary as Taj Bradley will start for Tampa Bay.
Bradley has been one of the team’s worst pitchers this season. He is 5-5 with a 5.43 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. Over 61.1 innings, he has allowed 66 hits and 11 homers. He does have good strikeout ability, but he still isn’t the best location pitcher in the world. His mistakes lead to homers, and this is why we like Garcia’s prop on Tuesday. Learn more about MLB Prop Bets, here.
He is batting .264 on the season with 24 homers, which is seventh in baseball. He also leads the league in RBI with 80 in 2023. He was hitless against the Rays yesterday, but the batter is good enough to bounce back in Game 2 of the series.
