First up on our list of MLB prop bets for Wednesday is for the Houston Astros to go under their total of 6.5 runs against the Colorado Rockies. The Astros are more than capable of putting up runs in bunches, as we saw when they 28 runs in three games against the Angels over the weekend. But they are facing a tougher pitcher than many likely realize in this game, who is going to make life just a little more difficult on the Houston lineup.
Austin Gomber is on the mound for the Rockies in this contest, who enters with some unimpressive numbers. He is 8-7 on the year, with a 6.19 ERA in his 96.0 innings of work. But he has allowed just two earned runs in each of his last four starts and is clearly trending in the right direction heading into this matchup against the Astros.
As for Houston’s offense, they did not look all that convincing in their last outing at Coors Field against the Rockies. Houston managed just three runs in a game where they did all of their scoring in the top of the first inning. Look for Gomber to slow down the Astros for a second straight night and for this game to be a lot closer than anticipated.

On Tuesday night, the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets played a memorable ballgame, as the Mets held on to win 11-10 in a contest where both pitching staffs had their share of problems. On Wednesday, expect the pitching to be a lot better, as Justin Verlander will get the start for New York. Verlander comes into this game at plus money to pick up the win, and that is certainly a bet worth making.
Verlander is just 3-5 on the season and has not been particularly effective at picking up wins so far this year. But his ERA has been more than respectable as it stands at 3.72 coming into this contest. Verlander will also benefit from taking on a pitcher who has yet to win a game of his own to this point in the MLB season.
Touki Toussaint gets the start for the White Sox in this contest, as he enters this game with an 0-2 record and an ERA of 3.38. Toussaint has pitched in just six games this season, with his team losing five of those games. Look for that losing trend to continue for the White Sox with Toussaint on the mound, and for Verlander to be the man who benefits by picking up the win in Queens.

Finally on our MLB prop bet card for Wednesday is for Juan Soto to drive in at least one run against the Toronto Blue Jays. Soto drove in several runs for the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night, hitting a home run and contributing via a sacrifice fly in the Padres’ win over Toronto. In this contest, expect more production from Soto as the Padres look to get Yu Darvish a win North of the border.
Going into Wednesday, Soto leads the Padres in RBI, as he sits on 54 of them coming into this game against the Blue Jays. Soto has knocked in at least one run in three straight games for San Diego and has done so in four of his last five outings. Against Jose Berrios, Soto should be able to extend his streak and help the Padres once again threaten for a win up in Canada.
Berrios is a better-starting pitcher than Toronto’s starter on Tuesday in Alek Manoah. He enters this game with an 8-6 record and a 3.41 ERA. However, Berrios is not exactly bulletproof on the mound, and he will be vulnerable to Soto’s ability to covert on his chances at the plate with runners on base in what should be a tight game on Wednesday.
