That momentum carried into his first start of 2025 when he held a good D-backs team scoreless over five innings. We expect him to stay hot to start today’s game.

Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers - Davis Martin vs. Reese Olson (1:10 PM, EST)

This is one of the most underrated pitching matchups of the weekend. On one side is a talented young starter in Reese Olson. The 25-year-old was a top pitching prospect for the Tigers before breaking out last season. He made 22 starts, posting a 3.53 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. He faced the Sox once in the previous season, allowing them to bat .174 over six innings.

The White Sox will send Davis Martin to the mound to start today’s game. He was an exciting prospect when he debuted in 2022, but an injury and Tommy John surgery sidelined his career. His 2024 return wasn’t great, but he looked incredible in his first start of the season.

Martin faced the Tigers once last season, allowing just one run over five innings of work.

• Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers - Brady Singer vs. Elvin Rodriguez

Brady Singer is a very talented pitcher who started the season strong but will run into a confident Brewers team tonight. Milwaukee’s top four hitters are incredibly dangerous in different ways, which causes opposing pitchers to struggle in the first inning. The Crew will have Elvin Rodriguez on the mound. The 27-year-old is only in the rotation due to a slew of injuries to the staff, and he showed us he wasn’t ready in his first start against the Royals, allowing three first-inning runs.

• Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies - Roki Sasaki vs. Aaron Nola

The Dodgers will have 23-year-old Roki Sasaki making the third start of his MLB career this weekend. The Dodgers believe he will be a future ace, but he hasn’t looked the part so far. He has only lasted a combined 4 ⅔ innings over two starts, allowing three runs, four hits, and nine walks. The Phillies will hammer him hard, making this bet an easy cover.
