Best NRFI Bets Today: Expect Shane Bieber to Put Together Another Dominant Performance
After holding the Seattle Mariners to just two Earned Runs in a 13-4 win in game three, the Toronto Blue Jays' Shane Bieber will have the opportunity to put together another dominant performance in a pivotal game seven. Especially with the Seattle Mariners continuing to struggle on offense as their Hits have been far and few in between which have led to a high number of runners being stranded on base.

Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays - George Kirby vs. Shane Bieber (8:08 PM, EST)
Under 0.5 Run (-135) at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook
After a slow start to game three of the ALCS, Shane Bieber managed to quickly round back into form as the Toronto Blue Jays pitcher held the Seattle Mariners to just four total Hits and two Earned Runs while generating eight Strikeouts. With Bieber holding the Mariners out of scoring position, the Blue Jays had no issue with pulling away on the scoreboard as they went on to win the contest 13-4.
Bieber’s performance in game three closely resembled what he was able to do throughout the regular season as the former Cy Young winner finished the year with an ERA of 3.57 and a WHIP of 1.017. Even though he struggled to generate Strikeouts at a high rate, Bieber still excelled at putting opposing batters in low-quality contact scenarios, as he also averaged less than one Hit Allowed per Inning Pitched.
In a winner takes all game seven matchup on Monday night, Bieber will be able to build on his momentum as he faces off against a Mariners offense who ranks below league average in Team Total Hits and in Strikeout Rate. Especially with his back end limiting the amount of contact variance in the contest with their coverage, as the Blue Jays defense ranks in the top half of the board in Defensive Efficiency.
On the other side of the field, George Kirby has been named the starter for Seattle and will be tasked with cooling off a Blue Jays offense who has been red hot for a majority of the series. Do not let his performance in game three fool you, Kirby is more than capable of neutralizing the AL East division champions' red-hot bats as the Mariners pitcher averages a FIP of 3.37, a WHIP of 1.190, and less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched.
Like Bieber, Kirby also gets the benefit of being supported by a very productive back end as the Mariners' defense ranks above league average in Defensive Efficiency and in Fielding Percentage. Even with the Blue Jays leading the league in Contact Rate, the Mariners' ability to lessen the gaps in the outfield with their coverage drastically lowers their chances of generating a Hit. Barring an error, expect both pitchers to get off to a hot start and escape the first inning without conceding a run.
