Mariners vs. Padres - Luis Castillo vs. Walker Buehler (8:40 PM EST)

If you like competitive baseball, you need to tune in for Mariners vs Padres. Seattle has started poorly with a 1-6 road record, but they were one series away from the World Series a year ago.

Despite the slow start, Seattle's talent keeps them firmly in the hunt, significantly impacting the current World Series odds.

The Padres have one of the best offenses in baseball, and Seattle prides itself on pitching and defense. Therefore, this should be an exciting matchup.

Orioles vs. Guardians - Shane Baz vs. Parker Messick (6:10 PM EST)

Two American League teams meet in Cleveland on Thursday, as the Guardians host the Orioles. The big question is whether Baltimore can get the offense going early.

Cleveland may not have a dominant lineup, but its pitching staff has been one of the best in baseball.

The New York Yankees have been on a downhill slide. The team jumped out to an early lead in the American League East, but it has slipped away.

Consequently, fans and analysts are keeping a close eye on the shifting American League East odds as the division race tightens up.

New York has their ace on the mound, and this means it’s a must-win game.

What stands out about Fried isn’t just the numbers—it’s his pitching mix. He effectively uses his fastball, cutter, and curveball to keep hitters off balance from the first pitch. The Angels could struggle to adjust early.

The Yankees’ offense has been inconsistent lately, which further supports the likelihood of a scoreless first inning, especially in a daytime start.

• Rockies vs. Astros - Tomoyuki Sugano vs Lance McCullers Jr.: The Astros may not have the best record, but they remain dangerous from top to bottom offensively. With hitters like Yordan Alvarez capable of changing the game with one swing, this is not a spot to trust an NRFI.
