Padres vs. Rangers - Walker Buehler vs. Nathan Eovaldi (4:05 PM EST)

The afternoon slate begins with two experienced starters who have proven capable of working through opposing lineups early.

Walker Buehler enters with a 4.14 ERA across 67.1 innings, but he continues to miss bats at a respectable rate with 58 strikeouts. The veteran has also done a solid job keeping the ball in the yard, surrendering only five home runs despite facing plenty of dangerous hitters throughout the season.

Texas counters with Eovaldi, who has logged 87.1 innings while striking out 83 batters. His 1.17 WHIP stands out, as he has consistently limited baserunners despite pitching in a hitter-friendly environment. While the home run total is higher than usual, Eovaldi has generally done his best work during the opening innings.

Both offenses are capable of putting up runs, but the experience on the mound gives this matchup a strong chance to remain scoreless through the first.

Mets vs. Phillies - Freddy Peralta vs. Cristopher Sanchez (7:15 PM EST)

The Mets and Phillies could make for the best NRFI matchup of the day.

Freddy Peralta has recorded 81 strikeouts across 82 innings and remains one of the more difficult pitchers to square up when his fastball command is working. His ability to generate swings and misses makes him particularly appealing in NRFI markets.

Red Sox vs. Mariners - Connelly Early vs. Emerson Hancock (10:10 PM EST)

The late game offers another quality NRFI opportunity thanks to a pair of pitchers who have quietly produced solid seasons.

Hancock's ability to avoid free baserunners gives this play a high floor, and if Early can navigate the top of Seattle's lineup, this NRFI has plenty of value.

• Pirates vs. Rockies - Paul Skenes vs. Tomoyuki Sugano: This may seem uncomfortable with Paul Skenes on the mound, but the value is on the YRFI. Sugano enters with a 4.54 ERA and 1.34 WHIP, and he'll be tasked with navigating the top of Pittsburgh's lineup in a hitter-friendly environment. The Rockies have also been far more competitive offensively at home, where one swing can quickly change the complexion of a game.
