Brewers vs. Pirates - Brandon Sproat vs. Braxton Ashcraft (6:40 PM EST)
Braxton Ashcraft has quietly become one of the more dependable starters in the National League, making this a strong NRFI candidate.
Under 0.5 Run (-140) at DraftKings
Ashcraft owns a 9-3 record with a 3.24 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 108.1 innings. He's limited opponents to 94 hits while striking out 122 batters, consistently attacking hitters and avoiding extended innings.
Brandon Sproat's numbers haven't been as impressive, but his strikeout potential still stands out. The Milwaukee starter has fanned 84 hitters across 79 innings, giving him the ability to work around trouble.
Ashcraft provides plenty of confidence on Pittsburgh's side, and one clean inning from Sproat is enough to bet this NRFI.

Red Sox vs. Mets - Sonny Gray vs. Nolan McLean (7:10 PM EST)
The top pitching matchup of the evening is in New York. The Red Sox have been playing excellent, as they’re now 2.5 games out of a playoff spot.
Under 0.5 Run (-145) at DraftKings
Sonny Gray has been outstanding all season, carrying a 10-1 record with a 2.61 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. Through 89.2 innings, he's surrendered only 76 hits while consistently limiting scoring opportunities against every type of lineup.
Nolan McLean has quietly put together an impressive campaign of his own. The right-hander owns a 3.73 ERA and 1.12 WHIP while matching Gray by allowing only 76 hits despite throwing more than 100 innings.
His 118 strikeouts show he has more than enough swing-and-miss ability to neutralize Boston's lineup early. The Red Sox lineup has been awesome, but I trust McLean to locate early in what should be a low scoring battle.

Royals vs. Mets - Michael Wacha vs. Sean Manaea (1:10 PM EST)
Kansas City and New York open the afternoon with an interesting pitching matchup that offers value despite Sean Manaea's overall numbers.
Under 0.5 Run (+105) at DraftKings
Michael Wacha has quietly turned in another dependable season, posting a 3.45 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 114.2 innings. The veteran has consistently kept games under control by limiting hard contact.
Manaea has battled inconsistency, but his strikeout ability remains a positive. With 68 strikeouts in 68 innings, he has shown he can miss enough bats to escape early trouble when his command is working.
If both starters establish the strike zone early, this matchup has a good chance to be scoreless in the first inning.

Best YRFI Bet
Angels vs. Twins - Grayson Rodriguez vs. Zebby Matthews: This is the YRFI that stands out on Friday's slate. Rodriguez has struggled badly in limited action, posting an 8.06 ERA and 1.83 WHIP while allowing 32 hits in just 25.2 innings. This will lead to a first inning run.
