Mariners vs. Rays - Logan Gilbert vs. Griffin Jax (4:10 PM EST)

The Tampa Bay Rays have taken a stronghold of the American League East while the Mariners are fighting for playoff relevancy.

Logan Gilbert has been one of the steadiest starters in the American League, making this an appealing NRFI opportunity.

The Seattle ace enters Saturday with a 3.19 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP, and 114 strikeouts across 107.1 innings. He's surrendered only 80 hits while consistently attacking hitters in the strike zone, making it difficult for opposing lineups to generate quick offense.

Griffin Jax has quietly put together a productive season for Tampa Bay as well. Through 65 innings, he's posted a 3.60 ERA while striking out more than a batter per inning. If he continues to pound the zone and limit free passes, he has a good chance to match Gilbert through the opening frame.

Blue Jays vs. Padres - Trey Yesavage vs. Walker Buehler (8:40 PM EST)

Trey Yesavage has continued to impress during his rookie campaign and gives Toronto a strong chance to get off to another clean start.

Yesavage owns a 3.31 ERA and 1.08 WHIP through 73.1 innings while allowing only 47 hits all season. His ability to limit hard contact has been one of the biggest reasons for his success, especially early in games.

Buehler's overall numbers haven't been as dominant, but he's still capable of putting together clean innings against quality lineups. His veteran experience gives him an edge when navigating the top of the order, and one efficient inning is all NRFI bettors need.

Yesavage is the pitcher I trust most in this matchup, making this another solid play on Saturday's slate.

Phillies vs. Tigers - Cristopher Sanchez vs. Casey Mize (6:10 PM EST)

If you like great pitching, you must tune in for Phillies vs. Tigers.

With both starters in outstanding form, this is my favorite NRFI bet of the day.

• Cubs vs. Reds - Javier Assad vs. Nick Lodolo: This is the YRFI that stands out the most on Saturday's slate. Nick Lodolo has been vulnerable this season, posting a 4.68 ERA and 1.46 WHIP while allowing 60 hits in 57.2 innings. Chicago has enough offense to take advantage of those struggles.
