It goes without saying that picking home run props with just six games on the schedule isn’t easy. But we’ll get another chance to start our week strong on Tuesday. Leading the way will be Shohei Ohtani, who is in the midst of an unusual home run drought. But today could be Ohtani’s day to get back to hitting home runs, and he’s one of the players we’re banking on to homer on Tuesday.

There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the three players we’re locked in on.
Ohtani hasn’t hit a home run since April 26, giving him just six home runs this season. That’s a shocking total for a player who is usually among the league leaders in home runs. Even more shocking, Ohtani is hitting just .111 in May and is down to .233 on the season.
But Tuesday could finally be the day that Ohtani gets out of his slump when facing Adrian Houser and the Giants. While he has just three career at-bats against Houser, Ohtani has two hits, including a home run. Houser, meanwhile, has an ERA of 6.19 and has given up at least one home run in five straight starts. Left-handed hitters have a .747 slugging percentage against Houser this year, which is the biggest reason to believe Ohtani can do damage against him.

Miles Mikolas starts on Tuesday, and that means we have to target someone on the Reds to go deep. Mikolas owns a 7.44 ERA this year, giving up nine home runs, with only five other pitchers giving up more homers this year. We chose De La Cruz, who is 5 for 15 with a couple of extra-base hits in his career against Mikolas.
The pitching matchup aside, De La Cruz is swinging a hot bat right now. He has three consecutive multi-hit games and is 8 for 17 over his last four games. While De La Cruz is yet to hit a home run in May, he still has 10 home runs on the season, so there’s no doubt he has the power to take advantage of a pitcher like Mikolas.

Cruz slumped during the early part of May, but it looks like he’s coming around, so now is a good time to strike while the iron is hot. He went 5 for 14 over the weekend, including a home run on Sunday, giving him 10 on the season. Cruz homered in back-to-back games earlier this season, so if he’s heating up, he has a chance to do so again.
The caveat is that Cruz has never faced Michael Lorenzen, who starts for the Rockies in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Lorenzen is another pitcher who’s been dreadful this season, giving up seven home runs and posting a 6.92 ERA. Left-handed hitters are batting .427 against him and are responsible for six of the seven home runs Lorenzen has given up, making Cruz Pittsburgh’s best option to go deep.

It was surprising to find Adell with such lucrative home run odds for Tuesday. While he only has six home runs on the season, his bat is coming alive. Adell has three multi-hit games in his last four games, going 7 for 14 over that stretch, including three doubles and a two-homer game on Sunday.
On Tuesday, Adell and the Angels face Cleveland’s Slade Cecconi. While he has just three career at-bats against Cecconi, two of those at-bats were home runs. While that’s obviously a small sample size, Cecconi has also given up eight home runs this year, most of which were hit by right-handed hitters. He’s been vulnerable to the long ball, while Adell is heating up, making this a favorable matchup.
