Home Run Picks for Monday, August 3
There are some fantastic home run props out there today, but some stand above the rest. Below are the players we’re locked in on.
Junior Caminero Anytime Home Run (+310) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Betting on Caminero to hit a home run feels like a no-brainer. He’s slipped a little in the race to be the home run king in 2026, but he still has 30 home runs on the season. While Caminero cooled off in the second half of July, he still finished the month with seven home runs, so he’s worth considering just about every day.
Surprisingly, Caminero has a higher slugging percentage this season against right-handed pitchers, which makes him a good fit against Colorado’s Michael Lorenzen. In fact, he’s 3 for 6 with two home runs in his career against Lorenzen. It’s a small sample size, but that’s more than enough when the batter has 30 home runs, and the pitcher has a 6.54 ERA.

Yordan Alvarez Anytime Home Run (+285) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Not only is Alvarez the current home run leader in the big leagues, but he’s also raging hot at the moment. He’s coming off a four-hit game on Sunday that included three doubles, adding to his league-leading .330 batting average. Alvarez went 7 for 11 during a three-game weekend series, and even if he didn’t go deep, a home run has to be coming with a bat that hot.
The kicker is that Alvarez and the Astros get to face Shane Bieber on Monday. Alvarez is 4 for 7 with two doubles in his career against Bieber. While he’s never homered against Bieber, those numbers show that Alvarez often gets the better of him. Keep in mind that Bieber has given up seven home runs in just 31.1 innings this year and owns a 5.72 ERA, so Alvarez is likely to give him trouble.

Dylan Crews Anytime Home Run (+470) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Crews isn’t usually the obvious candidate on the Nationals to hit a home run. But with Aaron Nola on the mound, it makes sense to target someone on Washington’s roster. Nola has given up seven home runs over his last four starts and at least one home run in eight of his nine starts, allowing multiple home runs in six of those starts.
Believe it or not, Crews has the best career numbers against Nola of anyone on the Nats, even better than James Wood and CJ Abrams. Despite not going deep against him, Crews is 5 for 12 with two extra-base hits in his career against Nola. His power is starting to come around, with three home runs in his last 12 games, making him worth a shot given Monday’s limited schedule.

Esmerlyn Valdez Anytime Home Run (+370) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Valdez has become one of the top young power hitters in the game. At age 22, he has 14 home runs despite only being called up toward the end of May. Valdez finished the month of July with eight home runs, and even though he’s gone seven games without a home run, he has the type of power that makes him a daily threat to go deep.
On Monday, Valdez and the Pirates face Brandon Sproat, who’s had an up-and-down rookie season for the Brewers. Last month, Valdez went 2 for 2 with a home run when facing Sproat. Plus, Sproat has struggled with the long ball all season, giving up 17 home runs. Right-handed hitters have a slightly higher slugging percentage against Sproat, which makes Valdez the best option on Pittsburgh’s roster.
