The Boston Celtics made a statement in Game 3 by earning victory despite trailing for most of the game. With the opportunity to push for an NBA Finals appearance, with Jayson Tatum rounding back into form, expect Boston to take control in Game 4.
Through 95 games this season, both regular and postseason, the Boston Celtics have posted a 48-42-5 ATS Record. That ranks them eighth in the NBA, with a 53.3% cover percentage, an 11.2 margin of victory, and a +2.2 ATS +/- on the season. Boston has covered the spread once in its last five games.
When Game 4 tips off, Indiana will be without Bennedict Mathurin (Shoulder), while Tyrese Haliburton (Hamstring) is listed as questionable after missing Game 3 due to injury. Boston is still without starting center Kristaps Porzingis (Calf), while Jrue Holiday (Illness) and Luke Kornet (Wrist) are listed as day-to-day.
Bet on Boston Celtics (-112) at FanDuel
Andrew Nembhard was the point guard for the Indiana Pacers, but Tyrese Haliburton was unavailable due to injury in Game 3. Despite the Pacers losing the game in the final minutes, he was brilliant in his performance. With their season on the line, Nembhard will be in the spotlight for Game 4.
Through his first postseason, Andrew Nemhard has averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 threes per game on 56.1% from the field and 48.1% from three-point range. In Indiana’s Game 3 loss, Nembhard put up 32 points, nine assists, four rebounds, and four threes on 57.1% shooting to lead the Pacers.
Nembhard is a -190 to score 15+ points on Monday night. He has scored 15+ points in four of his last five games, including his playoff-high 32 in Game 3. The Boston defense will focus more on Nembhard in Game 4, but given his ability, he projects maintaining his offensive efficiency with or without Haliburton in the lineup.
Bet on Andrew Nembhard at FanDuel
Al Horford is rarely expected to produce significantly on the offensive side of the ball. However, in Game 3, Horford’s contributions kept Boston’s hopes of an East Finals sweep alive. With a chance to reach the NBA Finals, expect Horford to maintain his scoring quality, if not volume, on Monday night.
In his 13 postseason game appearances, Horford has averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.0 threes per game on 46.8% shooting from the field and 34.7% from three-point range. In Game 3, Horford put up 23 points, five rebounds, and seven threes on 57.1% efficiency.
Horford is a -200 to score 10+ points on Monday night against Indiana. He’s scored over 10+ points in three of his last five games. The Celtics will try to close out the series on Monday night, and Horford projects to maintain his newfound offensive ambition – particularly from the three-point line.
