The Boston Celtics enter Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals as heavy favorites to win. The Indiana Pacers are coming off an impressive Game 7 victory over the Knicks, but it’s no secret they were the beneficiary of New York’s unexpected slew of injuries.
Through 92 games in the regular season and postseason, the Boston Celtics have earned a 72-20-0 Win-Loss Record. That ranks them first in the NBA with a 78.3% win percentage, along with an 11.3 margin of victory, and a +2.3 ATS +/-. Boston have won three straight games, while winning three of their five matches against the Pacers through the regular season and In-Season Tournament.
When the Pacers take the court, they’ll be without shooting guard Bennedict Mathurin (Shoulder) who will miss the remainder of the season. The Celtics will be without Kristaps Porzingis (Calf), who has no timetable for his return, while Xavier Tillman (Personal) is listed as QUESTIONABLE.

The Indiana Pacers brought in Pascal Siakam to be the difference maker in their push for the NBA Finals, and he’s performed admirably through the postseason. Coming off of three straight 20+ point performances, Siakam looks in peak shape ahead of Game 1 against the Boston Celtics.
Through the postseason, Siakam has averaged 21.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 53.7% from the field and 32.4% from three-point range. In his last match, a Game 7 win over the Knicks, Siakam put up 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 53.3% shooting from the field.
Siakam is a -135 to score 20+ points when he faces the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night. He scored 20+ in three straight games and six of his 13 playoff appearances this season. Taking on an undersized Boston Celtics team, expect Siakam to thrive in the paint, further expanding his offense as the game progresses.
Bet on Pascal Siakam Props (-135) at FanDuel
Derrick White didn’t have his best series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, so he’ll look to replicate his First Round quality when he faces the Pacers in Game 1. An underrated contributor to the Boston Celtics, White’s three-point shooting and defense have been central to the team’s success.
Through the postseason, White has averaged 18.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.7 threes per game on 48.5% from the field and 43.5% from three-point range. In his last game, a win over the Cavaliers, White scored 18 points, six assists, five rebounds, and four threes in 36 minutes of play.
White is a +210 to score 20+ points when he faces the Pacers. He’s scored 20+ points in four of his ten appearances this postseason. The Pacers are not known for their defense, ranking last among remaining teams in three-point efficiency allowed. Expect Boston and White to take advantage of Indiana’s lack of defensive focus as they attempt to set the tone in Game 1.
