Expect a low-scoring affair in this Big Ten matchup
Week 12 shook up the College Football Championship odds. Kansas defeated BYU on the road, which leaves the Big 12 wide open between the Cougars and Colorado. Kansas has the chance to play spoiler once again this week against Colorado.
The Buffaloes need a win to keep their conference championship hopes alive. Colorado’s only way to the College Football Playoff is winning the Big 12 Championship.
Wisconsin is coming off a crushing defeat to the country's number one team, Oregon. The Badgers led most of the game before the Ducks came out victorious. Wisconsin can take their losing frustration out on Nebraska this week.

Wisconsin takes on Nebraska in a battle of the Big 10. The Badgers are 5-5 after losing to Oregon one week ago, and the Cornhuskers are also 5-5 and looking for their third win in the conference.
The Badgers have been one of the nation’s top defenses in 2024. In Week 12, they held Oregon to only 16 points. Wisconsin allows 21.8 points per game, which is 30th in the country.
Despite having a great defense, the Badgers have been unable to get it done on the offensive side of the ball. Backup quarterback Braedyn Locke could have been better, as Wisconsin has one of the worst offenses in the league.
Nebraska is very similar. They are allowing 21.9 points per game, slightly worse than the Badgers. The Cornhuskers are coming off a 28-20 defeat to USC one week ago.
The Badgers just fired offensive coordinator Phil Longo mid-season. They have not announced the new play-caller going forward, which can cause problems, so we believe it will be a low-scoring affair.
We expect both defenses to dominate this matchup and for this total to stay under 42.5 points.

Colorado is currently second in the Big 12 standings behind BYU. The Buffaloes now go on the road and take on a Kansas team that has been playing fantastic football.
The battle between Travis Hunter and Cobee Bryant will be the key to watch as Hunter is the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy.
The Buffaloes enter this contest at 8-2, controlling their destiny to make the Big 12 Championship. The Jayhawks are 4-6 but are playing their best football in 2024 following a win over BYU.
The key matchup for this contest will be Colorado’s passing game against Kansas’s elite secondary. Cornerbacks Cobee Bryant and Mello Dotson are a dangerous duo that leas the nation for combined pick-sixes.
Kansas is playing well because of the great quarterback play they have been getting from Jalon Daniels. He is taking care of the football and not forcing the ball down the field like we saw earlier this season.
Devin Neal is also one of the best running backs in the country, and we think Kansas will consistently utilize him. In 2024, Colorado is allowing 136.7 yards per game to opposing offenses.
Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are an elite duo, but they could struggle in Week 12. Bryant and Dotson have combined for nine interceptions and two forced fumbles for the Jayhawks in 2024.
We expect the Jayhawks to compete in this matchup as they have covered the spread in four straight games. Look for Kansas to challenge Colorado’s secondary and keep this game within a field goal.
