Maye has fallen short of this mark in five straight games, including all three of New England’s playoff wins. But those were mostly games in which the Patriots didn’t need Maye to make a lot of throws. In games that the Patriots lost or needed to come from behind late, Maye ended up making more pass attempts and completing more passes.

The Super Bowl looks like it could be that type of game, as the Pats are underdogs. The Seahawks also faced the fifth-most pass attempts in the NFL during the regular season.
