Week 10 is coming to an end, and to round it out, we have an NFC East divisional matchup with the 8-0 Philadelphia Eagles hosting the 4-5 Washington Commanders.
Can the Commanders end the Eagles winning streak?
We’ll touch on that and more in this Same Game Parlay created using odds at DraftKings. The odds for this parlay are +1300, and you can get a $1,000 deposit bonus right now at DraftKings Sportsbook when you click our link and create a new account.
The point spread on this game is -11 for the Eagles, but using the SGP tool, we’re benefitting by getting half of a point.
The Eagles didn’t cover against the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football last week. Still, coming off the extended break, the Eagles have an offense and playmakers that should overwhelm the Commanders.
Whether it’s wide receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown or tight end Dallas Goedert, they all have excellent matchups. The Commanders will be able to run the ball (the Eagles give up over five yards per carry). Still, Heinicke will have trouble throwing the ball against this Eagles secondary.
The Eagles have 12 interceptions and 10 touchdowns on the year. They also have 25 pass breakups. Heinicke leads the league in turnover-worthy play percentage among all quarterbacks with 100 dropbacks or more.
Heinicke will likely run into plenty of turnover issues. We could see something similar to the Texans and Eagles game in terms of the Commanders keeping it close before the Eagles pull away.
As mentioned, the Eagles give up over five yards per carry and are coming off of a game in which they gave up over 130 to Texans running back Dameon Pierce.
The Eagles are somewhat like the Buffalo Bills from a year ago, where they don’t seem to care if you run on them.
The Commanders only chance at winning is running the ball well and controlling the time of possession. While we don’t think that will happen when it’s all said and done, Robinson Jr. is the type of running back that can run tough and perhaps snag that touchdown in the first quarter or half before the Eagles pull away.
If he manages 15 carries or more, Robinson Jr. is in a good spot to snag a touchdown.
According to Pro Football Focus, Goedert is set to matchup primarily against linebacker Jon Bostic. It’s looking like fellow linebacker Cole Holcomb will miss this game with a leg injury, so that might be why Bostic profiles as the primary coverage player.
Bostic has been in the league since 2013, and coverage isn’t a strong suit. Over his career, he has allowed an 80.5% reception rate and 10.6 yards per reception.
Goedert is coming off a big game, reaching 100 yards and a touchdown.
Bostic has played in four games this year and has 34 total coverage snaps. If he lines up against Goedert, it could be a rough day for the veteran linebacker.
