The Broncos have been an absolute disaster this season. It all came to a head when they fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett just 16 weeks into his tenure as their leader.

The firing came after an astonishing 51-14 loss against the Los Angeles Rams of all teams.

In that game, we saw the Broncos give up. This fantastic defense just stopped caring. There are reports now that fellow Broncos players are infuriated by the special treatment quarterback Russell Wilson receives, despite how terrible he’s been this season.

The Chiefs are a great offense and are gunning for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Unless the Broncos rally around whoever the interim head coach is, it seems like they’re just going to let these final two games come and go and head on home for the offseason.

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Pick: Jaguars ML (-200) at DraftKings

We’re tempted to take the -4 here with the Jaguars, but the Texans have been playing tough over the last few weeks, including games against the Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.

For the Jaguars, this game doesn’t necessarily determine their playoff hopes in terms of the AFC South winning seed, keeping up the momentum here with quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s high level of play is going to be paramount to any success they’ll have.

Lawrence is coming off a zero-touchdown performance against the New York Jets, but that has been a great defense all season. Still, they pulled out the win despite being underdogs.

Before that, Lawrence had multiple touchdown passes in four of his last five games.

The Texans allow over 381 yards of offense to opponents per game, which is third in the league. They get to run on quite frequently, allowing nearly 170 yards per game.

The Jaguars still have an electric run game, with Travis Etienne averaging nearly five yards per carry this season and has precisely 1,000 rushing yards heading into the weekend.

The Texans are coming off a win over the Titans on the road, but they have issues with Malik Willis at quarterback.

Expect a hard-fought battle from the Texans once again at home, but the Jaguars should pull this one off.

After all, if the Texans lose, they’re in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 overall draft pick.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers

Pick: 49ers -9.5 (-115) at DraftKings

Derek Carr is out as quarterback of the Raiders. Not only for the remaining two weeks of the season, but in general, he’ll likely be elsewhere next season.

With Carr getting benched, head coach Josh McDaniels is turning the reins over to former New England Patriots draftee Jarrett Stidham.

Stidham has 61 career attempts, 32 completions, two touchdowns, and four interceptions in his career.

He saw some extended action this year in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints, in which he completed eight of 13 passes for 72 yards and 5.5 yards per attempt.

Sadly for Stidham, his first-ever NFL start comes against a 49ers defense that is the best in the league in terms of yards allowed per game at 290.

On top of this, Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams took to Instagram to voice his displeasure about the Carr benching, so it’s fair to assume how motivated he’ll be moving forward with the team.

Yeah, the 49ers wreck the Raiders here.
