Harrah’s Resort in the Marina area of Atlantic City is one of the city’s most iconic casino complexes, and Harrah’s Casino has an online platform to match. The site operates exclusively to players in New Jersey under license at Caesars Interactive, the owner of the Harrah’s brand. For more casino options in NJ have a look at our rating of the best online casinos in New Jersey.

Caesars is located right on the boardwalk, at 2100 Pacific Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.

Harrah’s platform is simple to use and fun to play on, with a good range of classic online casino games. Bonuses and promotions are a real strong point of Harrah’s, especially the real-life rewards you can receive in Caesars Resorts.

I got the full story on all that, plus lots more, right here in my Harrah’s Casino review. This expert review will cover all aspects of Harrah’s casino, plus details on banking, customer support, Harrah’s mobile platform, and much more.

Harrah's Casino Video Review

Take a look at our review of Harrah's Casino in this short video. We go over bonuses, games available, payment methods, and more.

Harrah's Casino Bonus

Harrah’s does bonuses and promotions very well, with lots of interesting offers up for grabs for both brand-new and regular players. The welcome bonus package, which I'm going to cover in detail below, is genuinely valuable for all types of players – even if you never decide to deposit any of your own money.

The Caesars rewards club is essential for anyone who’s a regular visitor to Harrah’s or Caesars resorts around the country. Overall, there’s a lot to like here.

Welcome Bonus 20 Reward Spins + 100% Bonus Match Up to $100

Harrah’s really has two welcome bonuses: a no-deposit bonus that you get as soon as you sign up, plus a 100% boost on your first deposit.

Sign up at Harrah's and get 20 Reward Spins simply for registering. All the bonuses are added to your account and spins must be used within 7 days after claiming the offer.

Next up, whenever you decide to deposit some of your own money, you’ll receive a 100% boost up to a maximum of $100. Again, the terms and conditions are pretty favorable.

This time, the wagering requirements are set at 4x for slot games and 20x for table games. You’ll have a week to fulfill the turnover, which is a little tight if you don’t intend to play that much, but still acceptable.

I really like this welcome bonus. It guarantees you get to start off on the right foot, and the no-deposit bonus gives you a genuine chance to win real money totally free.

Harrah’s Bonus Code

You don’t need to use a promo code, either for the no-deposit bonus or your first deposit bonus. Instead, both will be automatically applied to your account when you sign up.

Harrah’s does use bonus codes for some promotions, though, and be aware that if you use one when you sign up, it will override the regular no-deposit bonus.

Daily 30% Match Bonus

This promotion was running during my Harrah’s review, and the casino generally has similar offers available, even if the details might change a little depending on when you sign up.

In this case, once a day, you could get a 30% boost on any deposit you make, up to $50. The bonus cash is subject to the same wagering requirements as the first deposit bonus.

I really love seeing promotions like this. Too often, a casino comes up with a great welcome bonus but then neglects to keep existing players happy. This offer – along with features like leaderboards – means that regular players get rewarded too.

Harrah’s VIP Program

When you play at Harrah’s, you automatically get access to the Caesars Rewards program, which is the shared VIP program among sites affiliated with Caesars Entertainment.

Any time you gamble real money at Harrah’s, you’ll receive two types of reward points: Tier Credits and Reward Credits.

Tier Credits determine your Tier Status – Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or Seven Stars. Depending on your status, you receive different benefits and qualify for various promotions. Reward Credits can be cashed in to unlock specific rewards and bonuses.

The thing that makes Caesars Rewards really stand out is the fact that your credits can be used at almost 40 different Caesars resorts and casinos around the world. You can get restaurant vouchers, room discounts, free drinks, and more. Better still, whenever you spend money at a Ceasars resort it will also count towards your Caesars rewards points.

Caesars Rewards is probably the best VIP program of its type in the US, and it’s basically essential if you’re a regular visitor at any Caesars resort.

Games at Harrah’s Casino

Harrah’s has a deep and varied menu of games, with one notable omission. Here’s a detailed overview of everything on offer, which adds up to just under 800 games in total. It is an impressive selection, which is reflected in our score.

Slots

Harrah’s selection of slots is excellent. Just like the rest of the games, the slots come from a small selection of high-quality software providers, including NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, and IGT.

The variety of games is very good, with plenty of classic titles like Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest but also more obscure games and new releases added to the catalog all the time.

Harrah’s has great jackpot options too. You’ll find special sections in the slots menu for Daily Jackpots (smaller jackpots that payout every day) and Progressive Jackpots (huge on-running jackpots that regularly reach into the millions of dollars). There were more than 20 different games with jackpots attached during my review, which is great.

Table Games

There’s a lot going on in Harrah’s table games menu, too. There are separate sections for both roulette and blackjack, and you’ll find lots of interesting variations of both beyond the classic iterations. Check out the likes of Double Bonus Spin Roulette or Super Stakes Blackjack for a new way to play the classics.

There are lots of table poker and video poker games, too, including the likes of Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Bonus Poker, Aces and Faces, and lots more.

There are a few more classic table games, too, like baccarat and Casino War, but also a couple of notable absences, like craps and keno.

Scratch Cards

Harrah’s has a good selection of fun scratch games, including Volcano Eruption, Medusa Scratch, and Oil Mania Scratch.

Live Casino

And here I've come to the hole in Harrah’s gaming catalog. For now, there are no live dealer games available, which puts Harrah’s at a considerable disadvantage compared with the majority of online casinos in New Jersey.

Live games are a big part of the modern online gaming experience and let you play real physical casino games with a real dealer and other players from the comfort of your own home.

As a platform with its roots in authentic brick-and-mortar casinos, Harrah’s has a better understanding of many of the appeal of live dealer games. For that reason, I expect that they will be added to the platform in the future.

But for now, unfortunately, there are no live dealer games available.

Sportsbook

Harrah’s doesn’t currently have an active sportsbook either. However, you will find a luxury sportsbook in Harrah’s Atlantic City resort.

As another option, Caesars (which shares an owner with Harrah’s) does offer online sports betting in conjunction with its online casino.

Harrahs Mobile App

Harrah’s has excellent mobile options.

In fact, the Harrah’s Online Casino NJ app is one of the top-rated casino apps in the state – currently rated 4.5/5 on the App Store out of more than 5,000 reviews. You can also download the app for Android via the Google Play Store.

The app gives you full access to all of Harrah’s games, right there on your iPhone or other mobile devices. Harrah’s menu of games is certainly on the larger side, and the mobile platform still feels streamlined, manageable, and easy to use.

You can sign up, play games, and make deposits and withdrawals, all on the app.

There’s also a separate Caesars Rewards Resorts app you can download if you like, which helps you keep track of the different offers available through the rewards program. It’s not essential, but it’s a useful resource.

Payment Methods Available at Harrah’s

Harrah’s offers a good range of payment methods for you to get money into and out of your account as quickly as possible. The casino never charges fees for either deposits or withdrawals, but you may encounter external fees depending on your chosen method.

PayNearMe, for instance, which lets you make deposits in cash at 7-Eleven stores, charges a fee each time you use it.

Deposits come with a $10 minimum, and your money is available to bet with more or less immediately.

If your preferred payment method is PayPal then have a look also at the best online casinos that accept PayPal.

Withdrawal Speed

Normally, you can use the same method to withdraw that you used to deposit. Timeframes vary a little depending on the method you choose.

You can make in-person withdrawals within 24 hours at Caesars Atlantic City, having requested the payment in advance. Alternatively, both PayPal and Play+ Card withdrawals take 4-5 days, while ACH transfers can take up to a week.

These timeframes are pretty average in our experience. You can certainly find casinos that offer faster withdrawals, but also some that take longer. Overall, I am satisfied with the withdrawal experience.

Harrah’s Customer Support

Harrah’s customer support is generally very good, but there is still some room for improvement.

The first port of call for any issue you run into is Harrah’s support center, which has loads of very useful information. It’s split up into 8 different sections, with dozens of articles and FAQs in each one, explaining different aspects of the site.

95% of the time, you’ll find whatever info you’re looking for here, whether it’s banking details or how the games work.

If you need additional help, you can click the Contact Us button. Unfortunately, there is no live chat support available, which is a shame. Instead, you can fill out the email form and wait for a response sent directly to your email address.

During my testing, Harrah’s got back to me pretty quickly after I sent them some questions, but I’d still prefer the convenience of live chat support.

Harrah’s also has some good services for any player who might have a gambling problem. You can call 1-800-GAMBLER to get help and advice and use Harrah’s self-exclusion feature if you want to take a break.

Is Harrah’s Casino Legit?

Yes. Harrah’s is part of a network of some of the biggest and most highly regarded casinos in the US, along with the likes of Caesars, Bally’s, and various Harrah’s resorts around the US. The company behind the casino has been in the industry for the best part of a century, with roots stretching back to the 1930s.

This is to say that this is not some kind of new, little-known site that might turn up and disappear again next week.

Harrah’s games are provided by reputable software providers, all of which are externally tested for fairness. The games work via a Random Number Generator, which ensures the result of every spin or hand is truly random and unpredictable in advance.

All the data stored on the site is protected using SSL (Secure Socket System) technology. All in all, Harrah’s has a good claim to be one of the safest platforms there is.

Development of Harrah’s

Harrah’s Atlantic City was the first casino to be located in the Marina district back in 1980, creating a rival hub to the boardwalk and instantly cementing Harrah’s as one of the most emblematic resorts in the city.

Harrah’s Entertainment grew to become one of the largest gaming companies in the world, before eventually merging with Eldorado Resorts and coming under the control of Caesars Entertainment in 2020.

The entertainment company is one of the biggest of its type in the world and is led by Gary Carano as Executive Chairman, Thomas Reeg as CEO, and Anthony Carano as President and COO.

Harrah’s launched its online platform in 2013, five years before PASPA was removed and legal online gambling began to spread more widely around the US.

Harrah’s License

In adherence with the new gambling laws in New Jersey, Harrah’s operates as part of the gaming license awarded to Caesars by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. It also holds a license from the New Jersey Casino Control Commission. These bodies independently audit the casino to make sure the games are running correctly and the players are being treated fairly.

Harrah’s Casino Cons

Harrah’s has got a lot of positives, but there are a couple of identified areas with room for improvement. The lack of live dealer games is the most obvious, and it’s something I'm certain Harrah’s is aware of already and likely to be planning to add at some point. There’s also no sportsbook available, although this is less of a priority.

My other suggestion for improvement is the addition of live chat support. The help center at Harrah’s is very detailed, and the email support we received was good, but you just can’t beat live chat support – both for quick answers and just for the peace of mind of knowing it’s always a click away.

Final Thoughts on Harrah’s Casino

There’s a lot to like about Harrah’s, and depending on what you’re looking for in an online casino, it could well be the perfect choice. For an excellent selection of classic online casino games – slots, jackpots, blackjack, roulette, and video poker – Harrah’s is right up there with any site in the US.

If you’re particularly interested in live dealer games, however, or want to combine your casino games with a sportsbook, you should probably look elsewhere.

But perhaps the biggest highlight for me is the Caesars Rewards program, which lets you claim real-life rewards at Caesars and Harrah’s Resorts for betting money online. It’s truly tailor-made for anyone who visits those casinos from time to time, whether in NJ, Las Vegas, or anywhere else in the US.
