Bill Krackomberger and Jon Orlando are back for another round of Wise Kracks action. This past week marked one of the craziest of this year’s sportsbook calendar, and the guys don’t waste any time diving into all that went down. From last-minute changes to the NFL schedule, teams scrambling to field enough players as the pandemic wages havoc on starting rosters, including WRs starting at QB. It’s a wild week in review.
Jon and the Krack Man reflect on their Thanksgiving weekends and chop it up over the Mike Tyson – Roy Jones Jr. exhibition bout. Bill feels the ‘books should have refunded anyone who put money down on the fight. He reflects on the perils of the fight game, and how promoters take advantage of fighters in their prime.
Jon reveals Bill had an epic sportsbook week, despite losing on NFL totals.
Team Wise Kracks looks back at Week 12 in the NFL, which featured some of the craziest finishes, and outrageous stats seen in years. Mahomes and Chiefs lit up Brady and the Bucs, with Tyreek Hill putting up an unbelievable 261 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Krack lost a couple grand betting against Mahomes and laughs about it.
Bill asks Jon about the Monday Night game, where the Eagles covered the spread, and according to Krack, cost a billion dollars in a swing. He dives into the analytics of going for two when down by 14.
Billy is excited by the expanded NFL playoff format, knowing he will have more possible prop bets on offer.
Krack and Jon sit down with legendary sportsbook manager, Jimmy Viccaro, who was hand picked by Steve Wynn to open the Mirage in 1989, changing the face of the Las Vegas Strip forever. It’s a great chat about old school Vegas, and the history & future of sportsbook betting in America.
Jon throws up his Week 13 NFL picks for Bill to assess: Jacksonville over the Vikings – money line, the Raiders and the points, over the winless Jets, and wraps up with his “street cred” pick, taking the Falcons money line over the Saints.
