Have you ever wondered how much money the biggest sports stars in the world spend on their digs? And how long it would take us Average Joes to be able to afford such palatial pads?
With Patrick Mahomes signing the most lucrative contact in NFL history with the Kansas City Chiefs this Summer, it got us wondering too. Plus it gave us the perfect title for this project: My Home vs Mahomes.
We researched the most expensive properties owned by active professional athletes and built a calculator that tells you how long you would have to save to afford these homes.
Get ready to be depressed.
One caveat worth mentioning, the calculator works out the length of time based on your entire gross salary. Assuming you pay taxes and eat food from time to time, the actual time it would take you will be considerably longer.
