Marvin Vettori | TALE OF THE TAPE | Jared Cannonier |
29 | Age | 39 |
6 ft | Height | 5 ft 11 in |
74 in | Reach | 77.5 in |
19-6-1 | Record | 16-6 |
Former middleweight title challengers Marvin Vetorri (ranked at number three) and Jared Cannonier (ranked at number four) go toe-to-toe in the main event this Saturday night.
After losing his title fight against Israel Adesanya, Vettori rebounded with a win over Paulo Costa in a hard-hitting light heavyweight bout but was soundly defeated by former champion Robert Whittaker in his following fight.
Vettori most recently fought Roman Dolidze at UFC 286 this past March, defeating him via unanimous decision.
Cannonier, another fighter who lost his title shot against Israel Adesanya, is also coming off of a win. He most recently defeated Sean Strickland in their Fight Night main event via split-decision last December.
Known for his power punching, Cannonier will have a hard time with Vettori - who is known for his ability to take a punch and who has never been finished in his mixed martial arts career.
In what is sure to be a hard-hitting, stand-up war, Vettori, who is ten-years younger than Cannonier, is listed as the -125 favorite despite Cannonier’s 3.5-inch reach advantage.

Arman Tsarukyan | TALE OF THE TAPE | Joaquim Silva |
26 | Age | 34 |
5 ft 7 in | Height | 5 ft 9 in |
72 in | Reach | 69 in |
19-3 | Record | 12-3 |
You don’t normally see such a vast discrepancy in the odds in a co-main event battle, but this Saturday will see Arman Tsarukyan enter the octagon as a -1050 favorite to win.
He takes on Joaquim Silva - a fighter who is just 1-2 in his last three fights. Silva dropped back-to-back knockout losses before most recently earning a second-round TKO win over Jesse Ronson last October.
Tsarukyan is 6-1 in his last seven fights. He had a five-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Mateusz Gamrot last June but bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Damir Ismagulov last December.
This will be the first fight of 2023 for both fighters.
Silva will be the taller man, but the favorite Tsarukyan will have a three-inch reach advantage.
Armen Petrosyan | TALE OF THE TAPE | Christian Leroy Duncan |
32 | Age | 27 |
6 ft 3 in | Height | 6 ft 2 in |
71 in | Reach | 79 in |
7-2 | Record | 8-0 |
With an undefeated record of 8-0 and coming off of his first UFC win (a first-round TKO of Dusko Todorovic this past March), British prospect Christian Leroy Duncan looks to keep his momentum alive this weekend.
He will take on Armen Petrosyan, a fighter with a 2-1 UFC record. Petrosyan is coming off of a unanimous decision win over AJ Dobson that took place last October. He has yet to fight in 2023 as he had a fight against Andre Petroski canceled last month.
Petrosyan will stand one-inch taller but Duncan will have a noticeable eight-inch reach advantage. Combining this fact with his undefeated record have led oddsmakers to list Duncan as the -150 favorite.
Pat Sabatini | TALE OF THE TAPE | Lucas Almeida |
32 | Age | 32 |
5 ft 8 in | Height | 5 ft 11 in |
70 in | Reach | 71 in |
17-4 | Record | 14-1 |
If there is to be an upset on the card this weekend, this fight may be the one to house it as 14-1 prospect Lucas Almeida takes on Pat Sabatini in what will be Almeida’s second fight in the UFC.
Almeida’s only professional loss came on the Contender Series but he recovered with a second-round submission win in the Jungle Fight promotion. He debuted for the UFC last June and earned a third-round TKO win over Mike Trizano.
He has not fought in the past year as he has had three separate fights against three separate opponents canceled in that time.
Pat Sabatini, who boasts a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt as well as NCAA division one wrestling credentials, is coming off of a first-round TKO loss at the hands of Damon Jackson that took place last September. Prior to that loss, Sabatini had won six fights in a row.
Almeida will stand three-inches taller and have a one-inch reach advantage. He is the underdog at +170.
Manuel Torres | TALE OF THE TAPE | Nikolas Motta |
28 | Age | 30 |
5 ft 10 in | Height | 5 ft 9 in |
73 in | Reach | 70.5 in |
13-2 | Record | 13-4 |
Both UFC newcomers, lightweights Manuel Torres and Nikolas Motta will be looking for their second promotional win this Saturday.
Torres has won his last four in a row, including a first-round TKO win on the Contender Series and, most recently, a first-round knockout over Frank Camacho last May in his UFC debut.
Motta, who lost his UFC debut against veteran Jim Miller (hardly a fair debut opponent!), is coming off of a win over Cameron CanCamp - whom he defeated via first-round TKO last September.
Like many others on this main card, this will be the first fight of 2023 for both fighters. It is the streaking Torres who is listed as the -175 favorite.
Nicolas Dalby | TALE OF THE TAPE | Muslim Salikhov |
38 | Age | 39 |
5 ft 11 in | Height | 5 ft 11 in |
74.5 in | Reach | 69.5 in |
21-4-1, 2 no-contests | Record | 19-3 |
This weekend’s main card will kick off in the welterweight division, where two seasoned veterans will try to outclass the other.
Nicolas Dalby has won his last two fights - both by decision. His most recent win came against Warlley Alves at UFC 283 this past January.
Muslim Salikhov, a former kickboxer with a 185-13-1 record and a Sanda gold medalist, will also enter the octagon this weekend riding the momentum of a win. He most recently earned a highlight-worthy third-round TKO win over another former kickboxer, Andre Fialho, last November.
These two fighters are about the same age and height but Dalby will look to utilize his five-inch reach advantage. However, even with this advantage, Dalby is listed as the +155 underdog.
