Brazil vs. Norway

Brazil is ready to do battle with Norway in the round of 16 at World Cup 2026.

Over 2.5 Goals ($0.55) at Kalshi

Brazil may end up winning the World Cup, but the evidence to date suggests it will not do so the easy way. The 3-0 victories over Haiti and Scotland in the group stage were comfortable enough, but Brazil had a few hairy moments in a 1-1 tie with Morocco, and even more in the 2-1 win against Japan last time out.

Brazil was 1-0 down at half-time having struggled to impose themselves on the match in the first 45 minutes. It fought back after the break and ultimately deserved its win, but the winning goal only came in second-half stoppage time. It was by no means a straightforward encounter for Brazil.

Norway also won 2-1 in the round of 32, as Erling Haaland’s late strike gave his country a slender success against Ivory Coast. It was a tight match that could have gone either way, but Norway was ultimately more decisive in the final third. It has now played four games at this World Cup, and in all four there were more than 2.5 goals.

As for Brazil, there have been at least three goals in three out of its four matches in North America since the tournament got under way. Choose over 2.5 goals at $0.55 with Kalshi.

Both Teams to Score ($0.60) at Kalshi

Japan caused Brazil all kinds of problems in the round of 32. It managed to isolate Casemiro at the base of midfield, and took full advantage of the aging midfielder’s inability to cover the grass like he used to. Norway will have studied Brazil’s defensive shortcomings closely as it attempts to pull off a surprise win.

Norway is the clear underdog despite the fact it is unbeaten in four meetings with Spain. But it has reasons to be quietly optimistic, and one of those reasons is called Erling Haaland. The Manchester City striker has scored in each of his three appearances at the World Cup, making the net ripple four times in total.

With Martin Odegaard, Antonio Nusa and Alexander Sorloth on hand to support Haaland in the final third, Norway packs a punch going forward. Given how shaky Carlo Ancelotti’s team have looked without the ball, Norway will back itself to find the back of the net.

Equally, it is hard to envisage Brazil failing to score. Norway’s defense is not the best, as evidenced by the fact it has not kept a clean sheet in any of its four matches at the tournament. Go for both teams to score at $0.60 at Kalshi.

Mexico vs. England

World Cup co-host Mexico takes on England in a tantalising tussle at the Estadio Azteca.

Mexico to Score First ($0.47) at Kalshi

We continue our overview of our daily World Cup team props with a prediction for Mexico vs England. This is a fascinating game and a tough one to call, with the best online sportsbooks struggling to separate the two teams. If this match was played at a neutral venue, England would be strong favorites. But home advantage - which includes familiarity with altitude as well as the backing of the crowd at the Estadio Azteca - is on Mexico’s side.

El Tri was terrific against Ecuador in the round of 32. It started at a blistering pace which its opponent could not cope with. The co-host scored twice in the first half, then shut the game down after the break. Javier Aguirre’s side showed two sides to its game and it will have to be similarly flexible today.

Unlike Ecuador, England is not familiar with playing at altitude. It will not be able to perform at a Premier League tempo and will have to try and conserve energy early on. That will not be easy, however, if Mexico puts it under pressure from the first whistle. With the home crowd roaring it on, there is a good chance El Tri will open the scoring - if you agree, you can buy that prediction on Kalshi for $0.47.

Julian Quinones to Score or Assist ($0.31) at Kalshi

Our final pick today relates to the soccer player props odds for Mexico vs England. The likes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, England’s two star men, will attract plenty of interest in these markets, but we are actually recommending tipping a goal for one of Mexico’s most important players.

Born in Colombia, Julian Quinones made his debut for Mexico in 2023, having lived in the country for several years during his teens and much of his 20s. Javier Aguirre included the wide player in his 26-man squad for this World Cup and Quinones has more than repaid his faith already.

The 29-year-old, who plies his trade in Saudi Arabia at club level, has been a thorn in the side of virtually every full-back he has come up against. He has had a direct hand in four goals, scoring three and setting up one more.

Quinones plays on the left for Mexico, so he will come up against England’s right-back today - and that is the Three Lions’ problem position. Choose Julian Quinones to score or assist at $0.31 with Kalshi.
